Does anyone else take pleasure in cleaning of tombstones or graves? And eat my ass if you think I am trying to be dark.
But you know, sometimes
"Lord, it's one kind favor I'll ask of you. See that my grave is kept clean" - Blind Lemon Jefferson
That means a hell of a lot to me. And I go to graveyards to see those who have passed. Out of respect, they were here before you and I. So I go to graveyards and clean off headstones or markers. Think about it, I respect the dead. And it means a lot when you clean off a headstone, and wonder what the person was like. The nameless, those born before any of us, to at least clean the weeds and debris if any from them. May we all be so lucky to have one who does such a thing.
Sorry but it is a hobby and something I like to do.
Respect those who have passed. One day you will join their ranks.
On another note:
Some do not deserve it ( what I stated. ). But still, how would you like to be remembered? Would you merely want to vanish or have someone come by who did not know you and clean your grave.
It to me is a matter of respect. Though most do not get it.
Think what you wish, some day you will join their ranks.
But many do not get it so I tell few.

Not for me. Oh, it was a sad day indeed, and I still miss Joel Hodgson's wry smile (wonder what the heck he is doing now?)
But Mike Nelson was always the head writer so it wasn't as if there was this huge breach of continuity. And there was/is nothing else on TV like it. MSTK3K is one of a kind.
The transition from Joel to Mike was similar to what happens everytime they change the actor who plays James Bond. I keep watching the movies.
I actually had a harder time watching after Dr. Forester and TV's Frank left the show.
And yes, this should make clear I have been obsessed for a long time. In fact, I was one of the people 'circulating the tapes.'

Oh, I just found out that Joel Hodgson is currently working, along with his brother Jim, as a writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Yes on the grave cleaning, no on the ass eating.
Unless there is Syrup.
In San Diego there is a Park that USED to be a cemetary, but since it was full of Poor Mexican Immigrant Graves, the city decided that it would be better served as a park.
No fucking lie.
So they DUG UP all of the graves, dumped all of the corpses into one mass grave, and saved some of the ' Prettier' older headstones to display on said Mass Grave.
Again, no fucking lie..
I am still at a TOTAL LOSS as to how something like that can fucking happen in this day and age, unmotherfuckingbelievable.
Quite a few of the people buried and then subsequently dug up, were Spanish Priests.
" Yes, yes, serve God your whole life, do good works, and then we'll dig you up 75 years from now and throw your bones in a mass grave! Thanks for Playin! "
What the Fuck?
As a SMALL TOKEN they provided a marble slab that they inscribed the names of the poor and dead who had their rest forever unrested. I got down on my hands and knees in friggin tears and cleaned the dirt off of each name. I did the same with the ' Nicer' headstones they were kind enough not too destroy after they jerked their owners out of their final resting place.
I really though there were laws against things like this happening..
At least I always THOUGHT desecration of a Grave was against the law.
But hey, the people in the surrounding neighborhoods have a really nifty jogging path now.
Fucking Sigh.

E_P_S, it's happened before. Most commonly I've seen it done with Native American grave sites. It is very sad. And I can understand anyone who feels angry about it.
I have long known that cemetaries are for the living. The dead are long past caring. But our reverence (or lack thereof) for their memory says something about our character. In this case, what is says is not very flattering at all.

My ipod nano is filled with songs by Cher, Avril Lavign, and Evanescence...
just kidding... it does have "Do you believe in love after love" by Cher though =gasp=
but seriously... and this may seem odd but 2 of my top 10 favorite TV shows of all time are
Street Sharks and Fraggle Rock
Almost no one knows this... a lot of people know i'm hugely avid for Jim Henson. But I've barely told anyone about Fraggle Rock as one of my favorite tv shows of all time... and
besides this post the only link to me and Street Sharks anyone will ever here my utter is the word "jawesome" ever since i saw that show i started using jawesome instead of the normal awesome, and nowadays any new person i meet has no clue why I say it until i tell them.. then there like "oh... i kinda remember that show.. a little bit".....

E.. Fraggle Rock kicks ass, stand tall man there ARE others who stand with you.
Okay, I seriously hate contry music... not all but most. It actually makes me angry to listen to it for more then 20 mins. I swear there must be something wrong with me to hold so much comtempt for something as trival as music choice but when I say I get angry I mean REALLY angry. I find I have to talk myself out of being as angry as I actually get. How stupid is that?

I hate it with a buring fiery passion too! I swear to the floor, if I listen to one song, I like, have a spaz and break the speakers, honest to god. I feel like attacking something!

I've never stuck my penis in a radiator.
That's something I've never told anyone. It's only bound to be true for so long, howeverr.
