Most things from Hot Topic are of low quality. Expensive, too.
DIY is much better because you get exactly what you want (who says you can't get inspiration from hot topic products?) and you only have yourself to blame for the quality.
It's only as good as you make it and if you buy it then it won't be as good as you need it to be.

True dat. I've always wanted to say that for some bizarre reason. But I recently got a tank top from Hot Topic (I had to go there to get some striped tights and could not resist this top) that has corset lacing down the front. I wore it to dinner with my husband and got sooo many compliments on it - a 19-year-old guy I work with told me I was hot. Tee hee.

Anyway, I've been inspired by this top and intend to put more corset lacing in other clothes, such as the back and sides of other tank tops, and the front and sides of a couple pairs of leggings. When I get good at it, I might be brave enough to try doing jeans.

I'd just like to reinforce the idea that you have the right to wear whatever you like, but those pants don't speak a lot to one's taste.

DiY is a wonderful thing if you're into it. So are not-Tripp pants.

I can't actually post an Image but type in Tripp Pants in google or see em at hot topic..
anyway, opinions?
Hm, first of all, if you wear huge baggy tripps, wear a tight shirt. The contrast works better. Secondly, they have a nasty habit of falling apart. Buy some Dickies and DIY the living hell out of them, they'll last longer that way.
