Right, I should try and catch that episode. I quite like the show, but only I ever see it when I accidentally come across it.

Now it annoys me when all these idiots try to convince me of this stuff and treat me like I'm some member of the 'ignorant masses' as if they think they're the only ones who've ever heard this bullshit.

My favourite one is the one about dinosaur fossils being planted. Its just too funny.

The dumbest one, or the one I hate the most, is the one about Jesus being Horus. It just pisses me off so much, poor Horus.

Someone actually used the dinosaur fossils being planted by satan argument with me in a chatroom once.

And about the moon landing thing...Some of you may remember that awhile back a wacko "moon landing was fake" conspiracy theorist once confronted Buzz Aldrin about it and Buzz punched him. There are still videos of it all over youtube.

An ex of mine was really into conspiracy theories and would talk to me for hours on end about various secret world domination organizations. The Illuminati, the Black Lodge, the Dominion, etc. Even the Shriners are supposedly involved, usually unknowing that the money they collect really goes to more secretive organizations.

Then there's the whole Dark Side of the Moon and Wizard of Oz thing. How the Pink Floyd album is supposedly synchronized to go with the Wizard of Oz footage.

Or the one about the government putting chemicals in the water with the intent of shortening the average lifespan. Population control and all that.

There's also that post awhile back someone made about a unification of Canda, the US, and Mexico has already occurred in secret, that the governments are working toward a EU style arrangement over here, complete with the Amero currency. Same ex I mentioned earlier swears this one is true, citing as evidence the fact that the back of certain state drivers licenses (including his home state) already include the United North America logo.

I'd never heard it as a conspiracy theory as such, but the story of the Virgin Mary and Jesus certainly has a lot of correlations with the story of Isis and Horus. Not surprising since these sorts of things have a way of evolving, and the evolution of that particular Egyptian myth could easily have trickled its way into Christian beliefs.

Yeah, I've heard that one before, minus the women becoming the dominant species thing. Originating with the fact that the Mayan calendar ends on that year. Some herald it as a new age, others claim it's the end of the world.

I herald it as 'they couldn't be fucked extending it any further into their distant future'.

Also the LHC is intended to open a hole in the Van Allen Belt in order to allow demons in, and pyramids are UFO landing pads.

Watch Zeitgeist, it'll make you cry. It says Horus was born of a virgin who's name was Mari, was born on December 25th, was baptized at age 12, had 12 disciples, was crucified between two thieves and resurrected three days later, and was called the Son Of God. I know all religions borrow from each other and the image of Isis nursing baby Horus is similar to Mary and Jesus, but they aren't carbon copies of each other and Christians don't worship the sun. And the worst part now is everyone who sees that movie thinks "OMG JESUS IS HORUS!!!!" And its hard to convince them otherwise, because of course if it was in a movie its true. Oh, and it says Dionysius, Krishna and Mithra have the exact same story. And its not just Zeitgeist either, there was a book called The Pagan Christ that said the same thing, people have been believing this for a while now apparently.

I argued with someone about Zeitgeist for three hours straight once.
I was really bored.
And it was a total waste of my time, too.
They still go on and on and on about it, and constantly talk about how "life-changing" the movie is.

I've got a few:

The secret city beneath Denver International Airport

The secret underground road from Texas to Washington DC that the governement uses to smuggle UFOs (thanks to SLC punk for that one)

Area 51 is really where the government hides all the past president's porn

The government has Hitler's brain in a jar

And there's the one saying that Hitler didn't really kill himself in the bunker, that the death was faked while he was smuggled to South America.

And let's not even get started on the ones about Elvis or who killed Kennedy.

Wait... people are convinced by something that effectively cuts and pastes the name 'Horus' onto the story of Jesus? I don't even want to know what sort of 'evidence' they pulled out of their asses for that. Sad stuff.

LOLOLOLOL! i'm so getting my mates together and watching those this weekend. i laughed so hard...it's like morphing letters to make new ones.

"the winged disc" i will now point that out to everyone on random things.

i have my own little theory about area 51 - not that i'm serious about it or anything, or at least it's what i would do if i was in power;

start a rumor and 'evidence' about an area 51 type thing to distract from the real thing you're hiding. also have somebody (who wasn't in on it) discover a secondary decoy - "i found the real area 51!" and let the media have their fun, all the while pretending to freak out about it. and keep the 3rd as the secret one. or better yet, make it seem normal. the best place to hid something is right under someone's nose ( like a man's sock. he'll NEVER find them if they're right in front of him, seriously)

that's the give away that area 51 is BS - about the whole alien thing anyway - waaay to much hype about it. military aircraft? yea.
