a quick note to whomever now runs this site...

due to the absolute rash of quasi-retarded kids that have infiltrated this site of late, i have to ask why you want this place to be so kid friendly? true, it's possible you get more exposure, but at what cost? the banners on this site primarily deal with topics of a nude, violent and / or sexual nature - all of which are rated in the real world and two of which can be tried in court as no-no's insofar as exposing minors to their content - that of nudity and sex, respectively. that said, how many of the new members can legally access the pay sites associated?

second, this thread created by batblue is a prime example of just how low the standards have sunk - mainly because batblue is a well-represented newbie in terms of his / her ability to communicate, figure out what this site is about and pay attention to what is expected of new members. it's sad, really.

this site did have literary roots. this site did encourage some level of maturity in terms of one's ability to express oneself. this site did have a style and flavor all its own and it's unfortunate that it's starting to become a carbon copy of every other internet playground where children venture in without reading a bit about the site and proceed to piss in the sandbox, effectively spoiling what's been established.

batblue - go back and read the thread for new members. there are places assigned for saying your hello's. no one here cares a whit about you. no one here knows you. why the fuck would you post a message like this and expect people to write back - aside from someone like me who just needs to tell you to fuck off?

i said awhile back to several online friends and on my defunct xanga page that gothic.net was dead to me.

the owners said that they had a new editor to work on this site...where is he/she? it looks like this site is now just a mere springboard to the porn sites at the top and bottom of this page.

one can barely blame this new influx of new kids...they come here and all they see is a forum...it's sad.

I'm not sure that inbreeding is the problem, I think it's a lack of parental supervision. this kid is probably some third generation yuppie, second generation TV raised kid. now he/she is a first generation computer linguist/idiot.

Batblue: I'm sure you had nothing but the honest intentions of being friendly, but thats not quite gonna cut it here. Unlike Gaia, Myspace, Devart, and the larger portion of IRC.... we try extremely hard to keep a intellectual standard. I know its asking alot from all you mallcore kids, but we do try.

So that means:
1. Dun talk liek dis. spelling and grammar are your friends.
2. think before you type- no one likes an idiot.
3. keep a look out for Newbie threads.. they are also your friends.

Heh, this thread was so pointless....and I don't see the fucking problem with spelling things right.
It's not that hard, you know, I'm obsessed with my grammar and make sure its always nice and tidy (forget I said that).

I go to the Academy of IISD, where they teach college courses instead of regular high school, and they allow people to take a specialty class (there's law, medical, technology, child care studies, and a lot more) and I chose law. Sorry, but I was offfline for a while.
Let me explain how it works....
I attend an Academy, which is a high school where they teach college courses. I chose law as my specialty. And let me tell you right now, some people are meant for law, and others are not.
You ALWAYS need to dress whenever there is a trial going on (wether it is real or mock) and we have a PACE day, and we have to dress then too (PACE is every tuesday for us....).
Law isn't as hard as it's said up to be. I just finished my mock trial yesterday, and I should have won, but the jury was so stupid they called it a tie. They weren't meant to be here, and neither are a LOT of other people. Maybe I'll put that into the Whining section later.
Anyway, how it works is that you need to always pay attention, always dress decently (I almost always wear a suit) and don't EVER wear flip-flops or revealing clothing. There is also no tolerance for chewing gum, having cell phones, or getting laptops out unless told to do so (they assign one to every student, I'm in law right now...heh...try to be careful about it) and follow the same rules in the court room. As long as you can follow those few policies, you'll make it.
I don't know exactly what it is you want to know, so be a bit more specific and I'll answer as best I can. If only the PM system weren't disabled....oh, well....
