If it's knitted wool, yes.

My solution would probably be to double the fraying end inwards and glue the whole cuff onto a similarly shaped loop of some other stretchy fabric. Still beats knitting the thing yourself, if you can find the right parts.

I think you could tape it so the pieces won't fray, then cut it, and then hem it together. Then remove the tape.

Tape is a highly underrated sewing tool.

Girlfriend got these on heavy sale. Don't know why they wanted to be rid of them so badly, I thought it was a pretty neat design.

Needed work, though. Here's my take.

Currently working on coffin shaped purse. Will post pictures when I've completed it. It needs straps.

I've been into sewing off and on. I get into these "phases" that last weeks then I put the sewing machine in a box to get to something else and have a "phase" with that.
Eventually, like the moon, I return to "sewing phase" and when I do it is so fun.
I love using felt mostly to create my monsters. They are plushies that are one-of-a-kind. I think tomorrow I will get started.
This DIY thread has really rekindled that needle-thread flame. Danke!

today i finished a "Big Momma" costume for my older sis. It cost me approximately $15.00 to make, that's including wig, fake stomach & breasts, dress. I still need to buy the stockings, orthopedic shoes, and granny purse. Finding the cop badge might be the hardest part.

so what i did was make a badge. I got tired of going into town (done that most this week) several pieces of interfacing made the fabric firm enough then just set the sewing machine up for some nice embroidery. was pretty darn cool in the end! I need to take a pic of my sis when she wears it! thanks for the hint! I will go there for the water pistol and garter belt she now requires *rolls eyes* the list keeps getting bigger!

Not sure if you finished your purse yet, Rylee, but I recently finished off a very small batch of my take on the ultimate coffin case purse. Though I'm pretty sure we are using different materials.

These are the culmination of years of thoughts and months of work to make the thought a reality. Everything was done by hand.

I've just started selling them and I'm trying to reach the potential customers that inspired and would most appreciate these cases.

If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be, please check out this link for more pics.

I'm sorry. I'm just trying to spread the word to those who might be interested. I thought the gothic community, under DIY Accomplishments would be a fair place to mention it. It's not like I started my own thread topic under 'politics'.
