It's not about some mildly problematic subtitle, it's about testing Albert Mond's trollishness with a simple request that was predictably going to be made into a federal case of discrimination and personal vendetta and all sorts of histrionic over dramatics, and he won that badge with flying colors. I'm not mad about it, it's just disappointing. The underlying question was are you a troll or are you a good citizen of this site. Albert chose the troll path.

Transparency is letting us know why things are happening the way that they are instead of you simply sending out decrees. I doubt very much that the majority of gnetters would have reacted well to being asked in a thread to change their user title. In a tread it amounts to being called out, something that most people react to in a defensive manner, leading them to lash out, if asked via pm then there is no reason to get defensive about it and there is no reason for grandstanding. If you had pmed Mond and then he had brought it out onto the boards then you could have been assured that he is seeking to cause problems and draw attention to himself.

But this is mostly because I just want to see what people find more offensive. A serial pedo r@pist with a hitler 'stache as an avatar, or male sex-organ licker as a user title.

I believe the first change of hands was because the site started off as something small and then grew to something that the owner was not really able to handle well so he sold it, then there was the time when there was a big blowout over change in admin styles that lead to many people leaving and a loss in advertising dollars due to decrease in membership. Other than that the site has been around for a while so it really isn't surprising that the site has changed hands from time to time.

Yeah, I wasn't even a member back then so I can't say for certain. What I said above is more my suspicions of what could easily happen here and now.

It looks pretty low to me, but it's still probably the most popular goth site around. In all honesty, being the top rated goth site online is probably not much of a distinction and I can't blame Admin if they adhere to the logic I accuse them of above.

OK...now what happened to the post I made earlier today? I made a post after Solumina's post at #169. Then Solumina replied and I replied back with the post that is now numbered 170. My post and Solumina's reply are both missing and posts have been renumbered. Is this a glitch or some subtle censorship?
