If he gives you one example, then you'll just whine about how it is only one example in a lifetime of abject and utter dispair and disappointment; as the "I only said most, not all" argument, or else you will discredit it with your own non-pathetic existence.
You find it hard to believe because you choose to find it hard to believe and put yourself into impossible bullshit self-created situations where that assurance is nil. After seeing your posts, I wouldn't bother following up on a verbal assurance with you, either. You give no reason to warrant anyone wanting to follow though.
