Official Soulseek Thread

Thought it'd be fun to get some connections going, since I love sharing music. Post your usernames, and a summary of your collection if you like. Feel free to download any number of albums off me, I just ask that you share in turn.

Username is "Battleflag".

My collection is mostly extreme metal and harsh electronic stuff, but there's a lot of random stuff in there if you want to explore. Not much real goth rock anymore, to be honest.

Yea that's definitely on your end, my upload speed is always really good.

You'd probably like a lot of the stuff I have, judging by the bands you're sharing.

I was tempted to start a thread like this myself once.

My user name is Man In Room 5 but I haven't been on much recently.

I have a 500 G drive and about 1000 CDs I'm trying to rip at 360 kbps. I'll add anyone who wants to be added but give me a couple days to build up my share folder.

Mines ZyklonB. I've only got like 26 gigs of shit though, and I don't even have it on this computer anymore. I'm gonna get it again, and then y'all can take what you want =D It'll probably be a day or two though cause I've been a bit busy.

For what it's worth, my Soulseek is up and running again. Currently sharing 15,655 files and hope to double or tipple that before I'm done. I have a lot of stuff yet to add.

Damn, and I thought my music collection was obsessive... I'm only sharing 10,000 and that's about half of my total...

I've only seen 1 DJ's collection and he had more than me. I have a friend who has about 2000 CDs (twice what I have) but he owns his own record shop and is a big bootlegger too. He goes to see a concert and the bootleg CD is for sale in his shop the next morning.

Bump.

Whatever happened to this thread? This was a good idea. I added everyone above to my Soulseek user list. I'm currently sharing 24,400 files and expect to double that once all my music is on the HD.

If anyone wants added let me know.

My userlist thing is screwy, you don't even show up as a user, much less online.

What version are you using? I'm using 157 NS 13c. I believe at one time Soulseek was running 2 different versions on two different servers and they were not compatible with each other. I believe the version I have was meant to fix that.

I do know that there are a shitload of people using my version and I have no problems sharing with Drac but I've never seen anyone else from this thread online.

If you can't get my version from the official page let me know and I'll upload it to Megaupload.

Apparently my pirated internet connection was far too slow for P2P. Was decent when dl'ing torrents though.

i've since lost that connection and have been reduced to dialup. No soulseek for me.

So what does that say about me, since I've been bragging about my music collection so much? I even posted pics of it.

Of course, according to Soulseek, mine is 3 times bigger than yours.

My username is Cicero.

I should really get around to putting more music onto the computer with soulseek and organising it all.

I've got a bunch of goth-related music, including all of Killing Joke (except duplicates). I also have some Medieval/Renaissance chant stuff (Palestrina, Tallis, Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos, some Hildegard von Bingen, etc). Actually if you like plainchant, you should listen to Hildegard. She wrote some very good stuff.

I say! I really like this Soulseek thing. Especially combined with last.fm...
