Um... Punk's not dead. Louisville is full of them. Good people overall.
Then again, if punk's dead. So is goth. Oh well.
Stormtrooper, you are you first. Trust me, I know how great it is to be a part of something and waving your punk banner or what have you, but even if punk never came to be, you're who you are regardless.
Dude, roll up your pant legs and move on. As a good friend of mine, Neckmonster, once said, "Punk is a small town spread out across the world."
Besides, things get SSSOOOO much cooler and interesting after high school. That's when real connections with people begin.

I know it's not dead, we just don't have many in Minnesota. I have moved on, I'm taking a break from dating for a while. I just can't wait until I get to play my band's first gig, that's what I focusing on. Again, thanks everyone, it means a lot.

But true. For example, if someone is a totally selfish, arrogant, abusive asshole, do they deserve to be loved for "who they are," or should they shape up?

Point, however... There's that line between personality and hurting someone. If you hurt people in general, you have a problem. If you just have a personality that some don't like and an extreme choice in attire, then no...
That's sort of apples and oranges...

I love apples and oranges and how they justify each other.

Where the hell did that come from?
I wasn't referring to Storm, I thought I had said that.
I'm referring to people who think everyone should be loved for who they are.
I disagree with that.

Sorry, I think that's what a few of us took you meant. This topic is about Storm and his issue...

Right, but you mentioned him finding someone who loves him for who he is, and I added a bit. Is that ok with you?

It's okay and relevent, and if the context had been filled in a bit, might have gone over better. I think several (including me, and I think him) took it as you were attacking SoD.
My apologies..

Maybe an even more selfish and arrogant asshole will love them? xD Anyway, their mother will still love them ='( or ... maybe they are abusive assholes because nobody loves them!!

I don't believe someone who is incredibly selfish can love.
But anyway, maybe, but it's probably true that they should try to be better people.

Ha ha ha! Nice one Molly...
Selfish people will always hurt the people around them. Why stick around if you know this?

For every abusive and arroant asshole, there is someone insecure and codependant who is willing to be their doormat. Someone for everyone!

This is true, except I'm not an asshole. I hate guys who do that to their girlfriends. Makes me want to break their legs. Women should be treated with the respect they diserve. I guess, I'm a bit of a romantic at heart.

"the respect they deserve"???
Fuck that- treat chicks with the respect the EARN.
Females are human as well, with hot, succulent milk-jugs, sure, but human all the same with the body hair and basic critical thinking and all. Saying that we blanketly deserve respect is a load of chivalrous shite. A nice gesture, to be sure, but impractical and a pathway to doormatery.
But a rule as to humans in general?
Doing good requires sacrificeing of the self. Doing evil more often requires the sacrifice of others. When in doubt, join the side with the higher death toll.
And that would be men.

Honestly? As a female, and a quixotically romantic one at that, I do enjoy respect...but I, more than that, enjoy being dominated. Perhaps you were too "sensitive"...
Note: I am the worst feminist EVER.

No, no. You're supposed to treat everybody with respect, even if you don't actually respect them. Furthermore, I really like men that treat all women as precious creatures, even if said women are fucking idiots.
