Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Boy George...? Seriously...? [I'm hoping that this person isn't serious.]
Anyways, just in case you aren't, here's some bands to check out that I enjoy:
-- Bauhaus
-- Faith and the Muse
-- Rasputina
-- Helalyn Flowers [more techno than Goth]
-- Joy Division [Before dude committed suicide]
-- The Cure
-- Switchblade Symphony
-- Siouxsie and the Banshees
-- Siouxsie Sioux [by herself, I suppose]
-- The Creatures
-- Nightwish [more metal really than goth]
-- Collide
Etc. and so on. There are other bands I like [Muse, Mellowdrone, etc], but those aren't considered "Goth", ideally. XD

Thinking about it, Boy George COULD be considered Goffick. He wears lousy make up, at least.

I'd have to agree.
If HIM has a genre, it would have to be something like "Vampire pop" rather than Goth.

Actually, Boy George was going to call his band the Sex Gang Children before making it Culture Club. He had close ties to Andi Sex Gang. He's goth by association. Lulz. Teh OP fails.

I almost choked on my orange juice as I was reading the first post here. Honey, HIM are pop and Boy George I guess is more New Wave or something than anything (at least musically speaking); neither are remotely goth. Just start with the three most legendary and well- known gothic rock bands, namely Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Sisters of Mercy. Thatīll give you an idea of what goth music *really* is.
