42
We all know 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything, but what the hell is the question?
Arthur said it was 'What do you get if you multiply six by nine?'
The mice tried to say it was 'How many roads must a man walk on?.'
What do you think it is?

What does the number 42 symbolize exactly and why ? I never understood that, so will anyone be kind enough to explain it to me?

My random little quote as well...
The early bird gets the mouse but the second mouse gets the cheese!
hehehe.
*realises that was utterly random and pointless and tells herself off.*

Life's question: Is time really relative, or does it just feel that way for people with big hair?

You need to read The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy books by Douglas Adams. The reference to 42 is from these books. I could explain it in detail, but then you would miss the pleasure of Adams writing... and it is an absolute and unadulterated pleasure.

Why is "cellar door" the most beautiful combination of two words in the English language?
And why is "vomit" so fun a word to say?

PNUMONOULTRAMICROSOCPICVOLCANOCONIOSIS!
longest word in the English language and the only one I can ever spell right. Medulla oblongata is the funniest word to say.

Nonono, you've all got it wrong. 42's not the answer, it's the error message -
"Error number 42: Meaning of Life Not Found."
We all know computers are bloody stupid things that fail at the worst possible time...

I can't help but agree. I've heard the restaurant at the end of the Universe ON TAPE! It really gets you thinking, but one thing they don't mention is what is the meaning of life if you can already go to the end of the universe and then find out what is going to happen because it already happened. I wish I had the book that helps out with the use of past, future and present tense while traveling through time.
