Insomnia

Something bothering you that's keeping you awake? Why not whine about it here?

As for myself, I'm obsessing over a girl. One that I have a reciprocal (I think) crush on, but we hardly speak the same language. We went out once, and she said she had fun, but I couldn't imagine that I was very interesting, not having too many things I could talk about.

Communication is a big deal. I'm learning, but for right now it's lame.

Miss my girl. Needs her mom, but we had to go where the work was. I work here. She works on the east coast. We are both losing sleep, but we need the income.

I had a harm time sleeping last night, but decided it was good. I've been over sleeping lately.

I don't want to go to sleep because I've discovered mold on my pillow, I'm afraid its in my sheets, there's some on the wall (its VERY damp here), and the laundry room is closed so I can't clean it right now....Also I gotta scrub the rat cage just incase some mould got in there....the poor babies, their lungs are really sensitive >.<

I'm an insominac but I'm always able to get some sleep when I put my mind on something else other than "oh I'm an insomniac and I can't sleep" but I know that others can sleep when they need to when they focus on something else.

I guess sometimes websites can cause people to not wanna go to sleep but that's not good for the body....I mean you need sleep and being on a website that you're addicted to will keep your from getting the sleep that you need.

I stayed up until about 3am this morning reading Ecstasy by Irvine Welsh because I was hyperactive and had too many things to think about. It didn't help in the slightest and I had to get up three hours later.

Insomnia. And high school drama will keep any one up I should think. Sadly I suffer from both.

I have insomnia frequently. It comes from work problems, neighbor problems and from obsessing over the meny hings I need to get done. I've stopped lying in bed wishing I was asleep. I get up and start reading a book or do a crossword. Then when my mind is redirected I go back to bed.

What I think is hilarious is the fact that some prescription sleeping pills have the possible side effect of insomnia.

The cause of my insomnia is way too much stress coupled with barking dogs and a body clock that wishes to be nocturnal - not good when you're required to work during daylight hours.

I don't have insomnia, rather I'm afraid of going to sleep due to the nightmares I have when I do sleep. I only need about 2-3h of sleep every two days. Always been like that when I think about it...

I usually take about half an hour or an hour to fall asleep (unless I'm quite tired). I tend to have a generally active mind, and that gets worse when I worry about something or get excited about something.

I work two jobs, both of which require massive overtime at a small payrate (they both pay by the line-of-type), and they both require brainpower, so by the time I get to bed my brain is still in overdrive. Sometimes I can't sleep because of the stuff I type. (Either people are doing ridiculous, but funny things to themselves, or the reports are sad or frustrating. I know ME/MT's are not supposed to get 'emotionally involved', but sometimes we cannot help it, especially if the report we're typing is a death summary on a small child or a suicide -- or an abuse case. We're not machines, after all). My girl is training as a CSI and is going through the same thing. So, how do you get your brain to shut down (or simply shut up) after all that? (Oh, and BTW $haDe, I can relate. G.net is addictive).
