So, I'm new (as if it isn't obvious enough) and I can't wait to spend some time on here.
I am a musician and poet who's studying to be an English teacher.
Anything else you'd like to know about me, just ask. I'll try my best.

There's a sticky thread with some questions that you could answer if you choose to ( they aren't obligatory but some newbies find them useful). If you don't use the sticky, maybe you could tell us a little more about your self, what kind of music/books/films you are into, things like that?

Thanks! Here goes with the questions...
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Besides being a full-time college student, I am somewhat not so busy (I have too much free time on my hands apparently). I sing, play piano, teach myself a bit of acoustic guitar, write poetry/tunes (both instrumental and with lyrics), and read a lot. And I'm a Facebook junkie and not afraid to admit it!

2. Where are you from?
I am from a little town... no I won't tell you where it is, though it IS in the US.

3. Who is your favorite author?
Too many to name... Edgar Allan Poe, Margaret Mitchell, Claudia Gray, JK Rowling, and there are so many others that I can't remember at the moment.

4. What are your favorite films?
Mmm... at the moment, August Rush, School of Rock, and Raise Your Voice

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
oh my... a mix of my would-be husband's and my favorite songs and those cheesy ones that are usually played. Of course I'll walk down the aisle to Here Comes the Bride

6. At your funeral?
anything that celebrates/remembers a life

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
of natural causes... I don't want to die in a car accident or drown

8. What kind of casket would you want?
I'll say black, since I've never given much thought to this.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Mmm... black tank top, ripped jeans (doesn't matter what color), and my mid-calf black boots... and maybe my black leather jacket (or my boyfriend's) too!

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
recess and nap time (well, never really had much of naptime anyway)

11. What's your favorite band?
I have quite a few, actually. Currently, they are: Nine Inch Nails, Celldweller, Type O Negative, Alice in Chains, Shinedown, and Alter Bridge

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I am going to be finishing up my second semester in college in a little over a month, and I am considering majoring in Secondary English Education

13. Why did you join?
Just because I can (not to mention I want to feed my inner dark side some more)

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
I'm female

I've read Evernight, Stargazer, and Hourglass. I have yet to read Afterlife (I have GOT to see how it all ends up), but I've got to wait a bit

And... School of Rock... I can't count exactly how many times I've watched it; it's been over a dozen times, that much I know.
