Untitled musings

There's a certain kind of rawness that comes from sleep deprivation, from pain, from hunger - a kind of numb emptiness, while all at the same time making perception so much more intense. You become keenly aware - and it makes you want to dive into sleep all the more.

It's like I'm really in the whining section.

Or man the line a little longer so others that are asleep don't awaken to a living breathing nightmare that knows no end.

So the children that are or will be have something worth inheriting.

I find that perception begins to twist, stretch, play peek-a-boo and ultimately outright lie the longer I am awake. Hallucinations begin dancing their Satanic Samba on my skull until my long bony fingers stretch out their tendons and claw with long fingernails into my scalp and cheekbones as the sounds of snail shells being stepped on by laughing harpies sound and resound against the cranial cavern that used to envelop my cortex but is now but a snifter swirling the slurry of mid-brain and medulla on ice at the bottom of the glass.
