Hello from Dreaming Vendetta

Hello all. Well, here goes nothing.

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)

As far as jobs go, I'm in the market at the moment, but being 17, I'm not particularly worried about unemployment. In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and learning Photoshop. Video games used to consume my time like an insatiable monster from Hell, but I've been breaking the technological addiciton this last year or so. I'm planning on doing some political activism (peaceful protest, not riots) after I turn 18, but who knows...

2. Where are you from?

I rarely spend very long in one place, but I was born in Pennsylvania. The list of my previous places of residence is rather extensive.
Pennsylvania
France (I was only one, so I remember little of it. T'is a shame)
Michigan
New Jersey
Arizona
California (where I am living now)

3. Who is your favorite author?

Frank Herbert. I am currently reading the Dune series, and they are quite simply the best books I have ever read. If you enjoy science fiction (or even if you don't), I suggest reading at least the first two books in this series.

4. What are your favorite films?

Sin City
The Matrix (the first one)
Once Upon A Time in Mexico
Underworld (not the sequel)
The Lord of the Rings (all three)

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?

Glory Box by Protishead.

6. At your funeral?

Heaven's a Lie by Lacuna Coil.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

Nothing too fast, but not too painful either. After all, you only get to die once, so I want to get my money's worth, so to speak. I want a chance to know what dying is like without suffering horribly torturous demise. Blood loss or freezing to death come to mind as possibilities.

8. What kind of casket would you want?

Being dead, I probably won't have much say in it, but if I must choose...
Dark wood with brushed steel hinges, handles, etc.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?

Black or grey cargo pants with a plain black tee-shirt. Aside from that, anything not too colorful and not from Hot Topic (there's a story behind that last one).

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?

I miss not having to think about the problems of the real world, like politics and money.

11. What's your favorite band?

I have rather ecclectic tastes, so don't look for any pattern of similarity. Listed in no particular order.
Portishead
Lacuna Coil
A Perfect Circle
London after Midnight
KMFDM
Moby
Rammstein

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?

Currently a junior in high school. I plan on getting a degree in political science at UC Santa Barbara, maybe going on to law school.

13. Why did you join?

I had a friend come up to me at school towards the end of last year and say, "You know, you're the only goth I've ever really gotten to know." I'd never identified myself as being gothic before, but it got me to do some research about goths, and I liked what I saw. One thing led to another, and here I am.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?

I am a male.

*sigh*

*points at 'Introduce Yourself Here' thread*

This ^ was supposed to go there. You don't get to start new threads until you've actually introduced yourself there.

I remember the days that this small slight would get a person roasted over hot coals, because having so many new threads really isn't necissary.

One another note, LAM is awesome. But you get no cool points until you post in the intro thread

No biggie. Everyone does mistakes.
You haven't lost any cool cards over this.

True, that. It's a shame it so rarely comes up in everyday conversation. Still, as the forums history doesn't go back far enough (in awe of your post count), I feel I must ask what was your demise of choice?
