I stopped caring for Hot Topic when I saw preppy girls having Jack Skellington pins in their pink backpacks.
I like my gothiness warm and elitist

Jill, you make my cold little heart glow!

You kids are missing out on the fun of DIY, which was a key element of the original goth fashion. Stores like Haute Topic only serve to draw further away from that beautiful aspect.

Hon - DIY means Do It Yourself.

Before it was so mainstream to be 'alternative' people made their own clothes because they weren't sold anywhere. Punks and Goths made their own everything.

Wow. I'm not making a very good first impression am I? I must seem like an air head. I'm not very good with abreviations. Oh my, I'm blushing I feel like such an idiot...

I don't normally make my clothes. I buy the clothes then put pins on them or cut them but at the most thats it.

Your not causing a bad impression. The last thing you said was cute.
As for me, it's just that your tastes are a little too mainstream, but whatever, I just have a thing against Hot Topic, and I celebrate I havent entered it for three months (three months ago, my studded belt broke, and that's the only place I could think to buy another one)

DIY is fun, but honestly, I severly lack the time to do it anymore. I used to be the queen of interrestign jeans, but now. . .I work. Which is sad, because nothing is more awesome than holding up your sewing project and going 'wow, I really am the shit!'.

Hmmm. . .maybe my summer projct will be finally using my aux corset pattern?

Thanks guys. I got kicked out of my bed last night by my Dad because my step mom has RLS. I had to sleep out on the couch. Oh, the joy.

Thanks! RLS means restless leg syndrome. Her feet won't stop twitching and moving all the time.
