Yeah, it's great to have family you can rely on. My brother lives 100 miles from me, but he's always there on the phone for me if I need to talk :-)

There appears to be an unconcious theme lately, for pictures to be posted of me when I'm at my most ill. So, to continue that trend,

here are a few taken of me last week.

I was wracked with pain and about to climb a tree with a sniper rifle, when Manimal started snapping pictures.

With me(of course) ONCE AGAIN, sans make-up. *grumble grumble*

Here are the results of his impromptu distraction from pain tactic.

It's a bit of a Tri-fold dilemna.

I have an Auto-immune disease that has stricken all of the Women on my Mom's side of the family, called Sjogrens Syndrome. It causes my White Blood cells to attack each other, among other things. It's similar to Lupus, if that is familiar at all.

There is currently no cure for Sjogrens and it makes day to day living a real challenge, to say the least.

There was also an accident during a surgery in 1992, and a major artery in my pelvic cavity was ruptured. The resulting blood loss into my pelvic cavity, caused damage to my small intestines. Consequently, my small intestines grow to the wall of my abdomen. Pooled blood acts as a type of Super Glue when left unevacuated in a cavity. The blood basically super glued my intestines to my side. They go in every few years, gut me like a fish, and remove it from my pelvic wall. Then the process starts all over again.

I also developed Endometriosis as a result of the unevacuated blood. The last round of gutting resulted in a total Hysterectomy and a Bladder Re-suspension, along with the regular round of slice and dice.

I'm going through the process of getting into a new round of hopefully competent Specialists here. I also recently with the encouragement and support of my Doctor and Manimal, accepted the fact that I must file for disability. I have tried to avoid doing so for many years, and it makes me feel like a failure of the highest order to do so now.

Manimal suggested I take this term off to get my strength back, and I plan on returning to school to finish my BSW next term.

In reference to the pics above^^

Last week was the hardest week I've had in recent memory. I don't say much here, because I hate worrying everyone all the time, but it was bad. Manimal stayed up with me, til the wee hours of the morning, every night for a solid week. He tried everything in his power to get my mind off of the excrutiating pain. He made me laugh, he held me when I cried.. He rubbed my legs and arms, trying to soothe my screaming nerves. He brushed my hair, when I couldn't do it for myself, and even when I could. When I thought I would go out of my mind from the unrelenting viciousness of the pain, he was there to cry with me, and gave me strength to go on.

He took those pics as I lay on the couch one of those hellish nights, praying for unconciousness or death. He made me feel Beautiful, in spite of how I felt on the inside. It's hard sometimes, to remember that I am still a sensual being. That I am still desirable and pleasing. The infection within, seems to leak out of me. I look in the mirror and see only it.

Manimal took all of that away, and showed me "Me" through his eyes.

And for that, I am ever so grateful.

Here's Manimal teaching my Hellspawn how to play Pool for the first time. We were all amazed that my little Turkey managed to sink TWO BALLS into TWO different pockets, simultaneously. And yes they were even the RIGHT balls.

I've been playing Pool for years, and I've never done that. We were stunned and properly impressed. That's mah boi.

I'm just a guy trying to make my way as best I can. I'm no super hero. Others deserve far more "atta-boy" than I.
