Gothic.net Alexa Toolbar?

I could not find any other category to post this in, so I will be throwing this thread here in the hopes of not pissing anyone off for possibly being in the wrong section

Well I saw the sticky about this and thought that of course I would support Gnet by installing.
But when I tried, my virus protection came up with a trojan warning linked directly to the toolbar installing file. What's up with that?
I want to support gnet, but not at the expense of compromising my banking account and various other sensitive information about me.

Kindly,
- Anarasha.

Alexa bothers spyware protectors because it does gather some site navigation data and report it, somewhat anonymously, but it isn't pulling your bank info or anything like that. It's up to you, but it isn't as bad as it might look.

Do you have something useful to add? Alexa doesn't collect bank numbers or passwords like genuine malware/spyware but it does set off the alarm bells. Thus, it is not as bad as it might look. That's just plain accurate.

Since when are most posts on this site useful? I don't see you asking anyone else if they have something useful to add elsewhere when they're blathering on about stupid stuff, Unimatrix for instance. And her weird and wrongly placed threads. Yet I don't see you probing her with the question "Do you have something useful to add?"

And all I did was an e-laugh... O_o

If Gothic.net is offering a browser plugin and someone has questions about error messages or warnings, having someone simply 'e-laugh' at the answers to the question is kind of a problem. It was a legitimate question about a Gothic.net feature and a legitimate answer from Gothic.net. No, you don't get a lot of interference in your other threads.

It always confused me... when people say something is kind of a problem...

how's that work.. is that like "I kind of ran over your dog"

Like.. is it not really a problem, but one makes it out to be, or is it really just a problem, in which case the "kind of" preface is a bit odd...

And how was me e-laughing "kind of a problem"?

I mean really, who hasn't heard that statement before ..it's not as bad as it looks and hasn't snickered or something because they thought of another time they heard that statement and things didn't really go over well.... (and that's excluding all the times presidents have uttered that line or something similar)

I guess I can accept that one could have an issue with someone laughing at their expense....

Oops... ran over the dog.

I guess playing in traffic can be problematic.

I suggest just pretending that Mr E Nigma doesn't exist :P From the few hours I have spent here, he has proved to me that he has nothing useful or polite to add.

He's hilarious! Me and Nigma are besties!

Anyway, G.Net, you have a sticky about the virtues of the ignore feature-- why don't you use them on those who don't warrant anything more than you starting a shit-flinging competition with them?
