Death

Whats the closest experience to death that you have. I have been back from the brink several times after nasty accidents and attempts (by others) against my life. However, I am still here.
Also, have you ever seen any dead people? I have lost count of the amount of deceased people that i have seen.

The closest I've been to death? Well, there's a couple car accidents. But...

The one that I take most "pride" in or what would have been a cool death... if it was in a movie, was when I was riding a 4 wheeler and I was going to fast, hit a clothesline on a hill, caused the wire to snap and wrap around my neck, and then the weight of the 4 wheeler was moving down the hill. My legs were stuck under the handles of the machine while nothing but my neck was bearing all the weight. I was about 10 years old.

I almost choked once. I also might have seen a ghost another time.

That's my experience with death.

The closest I've been was being crammed into a freezer. It was cold, dark, and claustrophobic. Kind of what I'd imagine a buried casket in winter would feel like.

As for seeing dead people... Yeah. I've been to funerals. Who hasn't?

I've had asthma attacks where I've had to be hospitalised.

I've seen my grandpa and my great-aunt's coffins. And that's as close as I want to get to seeing a dead person.

I also have seen a ghost. For those of you who believe in ghosts and such.

I freaked my mother out on numerous occasions during my infancy - almost drowned twice, and very nearly choked to death once. The only one I remember is the choking. I was three years old at the time.

I've seen dead people both in an out of coffins. With a death toll of 6000 people per year on the roads in Malaysia you can't get away with living there 10 years without seeing a motorcycle rider with his brain splattered across the freeway.

I was born with a hole in my head and very premature, almost downed, was in a car accident, got meningitis, was in a severely abusive relationship and got hled up at gun point, attmepted to take my own life and was poisoned...
As i've said before, death isnt as scary as childbirth. Not even close.

I've seen alot of dead bodies from accident scenes near our local haunt, i saw a guy get dragged out of the harbour (they say he fell off a fishing boat and drowned), dead relatives, and this little girl that they dragged out of a field along the route i used to walk to school. But the honest worst was standig on a station and seeing this woman jump the tracks with a kid in her arms. That one still freaks me out.
I've never seen any kind of manifestation of dead people and i'd like to keep it that way. Its such a sad concept...

You have kids? I almost died in childbirth. I lost the baby. That was the most horrifying, tragic, painful experience with death I've ever had. I have had other family members pass away, and funnily enough, I don't manage to miss them until years later. I've never seen a ghost, and if I do I will scream my head off or hide under my covers.

You see! You see! I dont even have kids yet and already I've proven why you should be scared of childbirth! I dont want my bits torn from the inside out by some screaming ungrateful pink beast! At least when you die, the pain stops. (o.O)
Its just something that's been hitting very close to home, lately...

Back when I was in high school during lunch I went to the bathroom to take a shit. I then heard a bunch of people rushing in pounding on my stall yelling, “******!” at me. I stood up in a defensive stance. Somebody then poured lighting fluid on the floor and lit a match setting the inside of the bathroom ablaze. I really thought I was going to die as there was no way for me to escape. A minute later the fire started to die down enough to where I could get out. I ran home and told my parents what happened and they went ape shit. They called the principal to have them investigate what happened but since I didn’t see who did it and there were no witnesses, nobody got punished for what happened.

It's not so bad. I was never able to deliver naturally, and believe or not, I wish I could've. Having children is scary, but it's beautiful, and once the little brats are out you forget about the bad part anyway. The doctors are what you have to be careful of sometimes. My first childbirth experience was in a Catholic hospital and those people want everything to play out naturally, but to be fair, I should say they usually try to let you go as long as possible on your 1st labor ever. Whatever the case is, I did almost die. Then again, there was a lady in my company w/ health issues and she insisted on natural birth and she died. I think I'm just a pusher of c-sections now! It's just best to be well informed, and not ignore what your body is saying. There's always a chance, but so many people have kids now without an issue. Medicine is so well advanced that c-sections aren't even treated as major surgeries anymore. It's well worth it.

But C-sections look all jack the ripper-ish...My mom had a C-section with my brother. I remember how scary it was because there were complications quite late on and her body was creating antibodies and trying to kill my brother off. I just don't think i'd be able to handle things like that happening. I'd be the worst mother EVER.
And i think its pretty sick that there are so many people having kids that shouldnt be having them...

Yeah, a lot of people shouldn't be parents. I don't see why it's so hard to do the birth control thing. Granted, there are mistakes, but once you've made a few, you should get the picture. I know so many girls with kids with different fathers and they go from one thing to the next....I don't understand it. I don't think I can deny the fact that having kids is scary, so I'm not even going to keep trying to convince you that it's not that bad. Once the kid's in you though, he has to come out somehow....;-)

Wow!
My experiences were:
My ex deliberately hit me with his car.
A group of my ex-friends got very close to putting me in a casket. I was pretty close to death, but they thought they had killed me and i heard them all discussing how they were going to get rid of my body!
I have been hit by a car three times, i nearly died of pneumonia as a child, fell from a height of about the average house, fell off a mountain etc.
Oh and i have seen ghosts (and i have given birth twice with no pain relief).

When I was about five/six? or so I had an asthma attack before my parents knew I had asthma so my mother thought I ws just sick with some kind of bug or something...

Anywhoo, I was taken to the hospital and I think I had some sort of out of body experience as I remember watching myself looking down at myself as they wheeled me inside. For years I thought I created that image from all those 'bird-eye-view' movie shots where they rush people in to emergency, but a couple of years ago I had to go to hospital 'cos of a dislocated knee cap and had a large bout of deja vu.

From death to cookies...seems like a logical step to me.

I have yet to have a brush with death. Hopefully it'll stay that way for a very, very long time.

I don't think my life has ever really been in danger ... but my hindbrain has been convinced of it a couple of times when my idiot horse takes it into his walnut-sized brain to bolt and buck at the same time. My life DID flash before my eyes when he pitched me into a split rail fence at top speed.

I've only seen one body that wasn't already prepped by a funeral home; that was my father-in-law. We sat death watch with my MIL for the five days it took him to stop breathing after we were told death was imminent.

This is a fine example of why I love bat people and wildabeasts. You can talk about shit so macabre, yet have time for cookies.
