Hello there

Well... er yes I'm new... I'm Hazel, and I refuse to call myself goth... because I feel like the scene's gotten so much less vital since the 80's... really I'm more of an indie rocker... who dresses like a circus freak, and listens to the smiths, bauhaus, the cure, and siouxsie sioux and the banshees... and works for a halloween company (olantern.com check us out *shameless plug*) alright screw it maybe I am goth... but that will in no way stop me from listening to belle and sebastian... also I like elipsese, you can probably tell by the amount I use them, which is very likely completely obnoxious, but that's ok, because I make excellent gingerbread, that is all.

Well Good Evening Miss Lane.

A traditional way for the community to get to know you, and then for various individuals to welcome you according to their common interests is to answer the questions in the following link, and then post them here in your "Hello there" thread:

https://www.gothic.net/boards/showthread.php?t=1644

And by the way, I like your taste in music.

Welcome, and I look forward to reading your answers!

Thank you
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I'm a makeup artist, I spend my spare time listening to music, reading, going to shows, and writing literotica, also technically I work for my father's company Olantern.com
2. Where are you from?
Newyork origionally, mass currently
3. Who is your favorite author?
Burroughs, but I have a soft spot for Franschesca Lia Block, Bradbury, chuck P, and Dostevsky
4. What are your favorite films?
Ghost world, gypsy 83, The Dreamers, I heart huckabees, Fargo, lots more I cab't think of
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
It's not legal for me to marry the gender I love, however, probably dark cabaret if it's legal
6. At your funeral?
Ska, definantly ska
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Heart attack while fucking
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I want to be stuffed, and displayed in the public library
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Ummm.... I have two closets, and a floor I can't see, do you really think I know? Lately though, my crinoline, fishnets, black skirt, white ruffled neck top, brocade vest, top hat
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Umm, hmm, playing lesbian barbies...
11. What's your favorite band?
I have about 20 favorites right now, I'm very into music, my dad's an old punk, and I inherited his enthusiasm for music, I'm currently very fond of The Smiths, World/inferno friendship society, and Rasputina
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I was homeschooled, I've taken college courses, I have my Ged, and an esthetics liscense
13. Why did you join?
I'm rather morbid... probably because my entire families morbid, we never went out and like threw a ball as kids, but I remember this one time we realized that there was an old feed pit in our barn that had been attracting skunks, which then couldn't get out, an about 5 years worth of bones, one or two pelts, and a desicated corpse were all out there and my entire family (mom, dad, my two brothers, me, my lover at the time, my grandparents) all went out to look at them, my grandfather gave us a model skeleton for christmas last year, and intends to giv us a real one when he passes, hell my dad read us edward gorey at bed time... so basically I grew up never really realizing exactly how weird I was, going to highschool was a complete shock to me, I'd thought I was... maybe a little eccentric, but it wasn't until then that I realized exactly how apart from the larger society I was... is that at all clear?
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Buy me dinner before you go probing between my legs

LOL Ahhh, now you are far more interesting than your first post revealed!
I especially loved your answers to the above questions! First time I laughed all day!

Uh, I wasn't laughing at number 8 though, I find that awesome, fascinating in fact. I may consider it if it didn't creep out my family.

Oh, and "How soon is now?" by The Smiths RULES!

See you around!

Ah, you see morrisey just doesn't quite do it for me sound wise, the way the smith's do, they remind me very much of the current dark cabaret movement, which I adore, and in an odd way of twee pop and shoe gaze
