Scratch that. I am in Pompano Beach right now, near Fort Lauderdale. I will also be in Hollywood, Florida at some point. If anyone is around this area, hook me up with some fun d(-^)
I will probably be back Wednesday of next week. Apparently my stay here is longer than I had anticipated.

And with this post I have become...
an Elder Goth.
Hence I celebrate with red.
I must bask...

I have a joke:
Q: What are the contents of a String Quartet?
A: A good violinist,
A bad violinist,
An ex-violinist,
And a violinist-hater.
Interesting facts~
- Many violists are ex violinists.
- There are two violins, one viola, and one cello in a standard quartet.
- One cellists sound is equal to that of a eight violinists.
Congrads on making Elder Goth, BB. Enjoy basking.

I'm fascinated! Care to further explain this?

I have managed to forget standard numbers but if you have ever seen an orchestra there are usually a hole heck of a lot more violins than cellos. That is because violins are smaller and very important(they have the melody most often), like the full size violin is the size of a half or 3/4 viola. The violins are situated in a way that puts their f-holes (the holes where the sound comes out) facing into the audience, so they have a greater chance of being heard with the melody, all their sound goes out directly.
Cellos are faced so their sound, or most of it, is not directly at the audience, because we are bigger and there fore produce a bigger sound, and can overpower the melody ~or~ drive the beat through the roof, which if you have the melody and are playing sixteenth notes is sadistic beyond belief, it's very fun.
The ratio that I've been taught is one to eight, so one cello and one violin are playing both on fortissimo(very loud), the cello drowns the violin out, they will be close to equal when there are eight violins and one cello.

So the 1 to 8 ratio is in terms of decibels? A comparison of audio power output?

I do believe it is based on output.
Total subject change but, I got new boots today! They are gorgeous, and have a heel, I adore them. My dad says they're cool, cooler than his platforms.

For the very bored and immune to pain
I was bored so I made a seagull out of wax.
I had to pour the wax into my palm to get it to squidge together properly. My hand is red and tender but I think it was worth it in order to relieve my boredom for 15 minutes.

Happy Almost New Year everyone!
I'm in Azerbaijan at the moment, and it feels seriously weird. I miss Italy.
But yay, I have internet access here.

Welcome back Cicero! & a happy new year to everyone!
Well last night, I was staying up rather late to finish my coursework off & I could see something moving out of the corner of my eye. I ignored it because I couldn't see anything & carried on with my work. After a while I saw it again & got a bit scared because I began to think my mind was severly playing tricks on me. So I watched the space where the moving was & then something came out from underneath the sofa. It was the tiniest little mouse! It creeped out, had a look at my dog, then scuttled off.
It was rather sweet, so I thought it deserved a mention. ^_^

Hi Cicero! You are going to see the New Year before we do here in the U.S.A.
I know what you mean about the traveling, when I am traveling on business, the internet helps me keep my sanity too. Hope your trip sees you safely to wherever your destination may be located.

Currently I am at my cousin's in Hollywood, Florida, and I will begin making half of my trip home tomorrow. Yay! We're traveling to north Florida to stay with my grandmother for a night, and then Wednesday we finish up our journey and arrive back home in good ole Georgia.

Whoever made the gothic.net account at deviantart.com ( http://gothic-net.deviantart.com ) would you kindly get your ass back over there and quit watching me ( http://ekg.deviantart.com )?
You're not even doing anything with the account, i probably wouldn't mind it half as much if it was active.

Thanks. Yeahhh... I don't think I'd want my lappy to fall apart all the time.
I love Voodoo, and I will get one. I *insert number here* years. The only problem I have with them is, once I'm done customising, it'll be about $3-4000. Which I hapen not to have, let alone managing to scrape up $1500 for one with the minimum in my back account.
I also adore Falcon Northwest. And again, There most basic lappy starts at $3500 and I would have to upgrade it.
Forgive the typos.

Well trust me from first hand experince dells are crap, utter crap.
I finally broke down and sold the dell about a month ago and pawned up the money to get a voodoo heavyweight laptop ran me at about 13000 when i was done and now i will be paying for a long time, 4 years i think is what the contact was. but if you can get the money i recommend the voodoo as i have never had any problems with it, except when i drop it down a set of stairs but that could have been my fault
