Soulseek

Yeah, I don't know how well this is going to go over here on gNet, but on deathrock.com, this thread's on fire. Anyway, Soulseek is a basic filesharing program that I'm enjoying now a LOT more than Limewire. Post your username, if you're on frequently enough

I'm evil_ed
Find me on Soulseek if you have a little time. I have almost complete discographies for Christian Death & Rozz Williams, Virgin Prunes, and Alien Sex Fiend.

SoulSeek owns my soul!!
You should have made this thread while Cicero was around.
I have to thank Roserougesang for introducing me to Soulseek.
I have found more good bands in there than whores downtown.

*feels proud of self*

Though I really do think we have Miss Cicero to thank overall. Limewire is quite useless now that I compare it to Soulseek.

I have preference to DC++, personally. I don't think I have ever tried SoulSeek. Currently, I have LimeWire installed, but I do not care for the program. When I want music, I want it in albums instead of single songs -- DC++ is good about this.
Another good source of my music is L1veJournal.

Damn, someone's downloading like two Virgin Prunes albums off me right now. Oh, well, I don't mind, since I just got Sleep' "Volume One" last night.

Where did she go???

And I don't know about filesharing, I know my boyfriend does it and he just sends me the music afterwards. He uses something that has a llama as a logo or something....I don't know.

I believe she was leaving Malaysia to go to Australia, Crimson. I think she posted her farewell in the Rant Thread somewhere.

Ohhhhh, if I wouldn't get my head chopped off by my dad for filesharing I would do so. But my dad works for the state, he's a parole officer. So yeah, my dad wants nothing like that in his house. He's a tough one my dad is.

It'll be so nice, having a fellow Gnet member (and Mad Hatter) to hang around with often.

SoulSeek is teh swank.

Seriously, what makes SoulSeek so great is not so much the volume of music, but the TYPE of music one finds there. If you're looking for, say, Britney Spears or something... you're not likely to find much. But if you're after electronic, goth, industrial, etc. then there's just about everything you could ever ask for.

I'm on as 'skotk', but I'm not on all the time.

Never heard of SoulSeek.

Is it better? Or at least faster?

I'm downloading it right now. I'll let yall know my username soon.

I also upgraded to Firefox 2, and I recommend it. It has a real-time spellchecker that works on forums.
