That is what I mean. You cannot fucking get over the fact! You, my lady, are pathetic. GET OVER IT. PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT TO YOU, GET OVER IT. Nobody finds my fetish funny anymore. THE HORSE HAS BEEN DRAGGED OUT LONG ENOUGH!

Yeah right, everyone always thinks piss fetishes are funny. Even people with piss fetishes find them funny.
Except you, Pissjugs.

And how exactly did I do that?? I NEVER made an issue over it. I always spoke about it matter-of-factly when it came up, but NEVER made a big deal over it.

Why exactly is it that this topic is so exciting... why don't we talk about something productive. Perhaps one's opinions on the synonymous nature of goth and vampire nowadays, or Stephanie Meyer's proof one doesn't need to be a talented writer to make obscene amounts of money from literature.

What did I warn you about continuing the argument:
Juicy tomatos, fresh lettuce, real cheddar, fresh never frozen beef, on a lightly buttered bun. It's as delicious as it sounds, the Butter Burger.

OP: If you can ignore the blatant hostility coursing through the site's veins, you can pretty much ignore an elephant in a room. Welcome to the boards.
Ophelia: You seem to be getting more hostile toward not only noobs, but to general members, and it bothers me. I cringe every time I read a post where you take a trivial matter, such as the misspelling of "monsieur," and turn it into a storm of criticism. I do not believe Christine deserved the remark "you fool," just as I do not think many others are so deserving of your seething hatred for mistakes. When others on the forums judge members the method is usually through witty remarks or crude humor, but you simply make very abrasive and unwelcoming remarks in the most deconstructive way. Perhaps this is simply your day-to-day personality, or perhaps being on these forums for a long period of time if affecting your judgment. I would simply just appreciate it if you toned down your anger when it seems unfitting, if that is not too much to ask.

Wow, that's quite a reaction. How dare I? It was hardly the worst I could do.
The worst damage is the kind you do to yourself, as evidenced by this post.

I don't think Ophelia is the type to put "Lady" in front of her name and try to talk like an aristocrat if thats what your asking. She's the type to be honest about her opinions, and not to sugarcoat it when she corrects something.

What is wrong with speaking intelligently? Being honest and being polite are two entirely different things.

Just as Alice was quite happy in her new Wonderland, over time she grows to detest some of the characters and eventually she just simply can't stand damn near any of them, including the white rabbit.
Ophelia has been down the rabbit hole, has had loads of laughs painting roses red and hitting croquet balls with oddly shaped birds, and enjoying one too many unbirthday related tea parties. She's to the point where the abundance of it all produces a loathing and abhorrent headache at the sight of such trivial mistakes.

Speaking with flowery language isn't speaking intelligently. Being honest is more important than being polite, how dull would this site be if we all were all playing nice? How dishonest would it be to just say "Oh dear, you seem to have misspelled monsieur in a bid to sound intelligent, and you fell short, but don't worry old girl, you'll have plenty of other opportunities to use the word correctly, pip pip cheerio, I bow my hat to you, off to the rant thread to complain about the drapes in my new apartment."

Quite agreed. Although, I do quite enjoy Havelock's contrast to us by speaking flowery and insulting people at the same time. It amuses me :]

Forgive me, for my speaking with a bit more decadence you obviously are displeased. As I said there is a difference. I'm not asking her to change her posting style, however when I have just arrived and done nothing other then a spelling error to provoke anger I am a bit confused. I suppose I don't understand the attitude, however a trend does seem to be forming as to who provides the hostility.
