I was just reading today where in Alabama 9 people died in a hospital because they mishandled IV bags and they got contaminated with bacteria, which killed the people they hooked up to them.

There will always be screw-ups, and in every country you can find cases of where doctors and hospitals have dropped the ball, but...
One has to wonder about the effect hiring staff on minimum wage and doing whatever is necessary to save a few quid so the company running the hospital can maximise its profits has on such fatal errors.
