Writing song lyrics on bleached pants
I took a pair of my pants, and I dashed a bunch of undiluted bleach on them.
I underestimated the potently of the stuff, I was aiming for a rusty red kind of color. I should have diluted it first! It went white in seconds!
Well I rinsed it out and dried it off.
This morning, I took it a sharpie and wrote the lyrics of a few songs I like on the legs. Front and back. The patches where the bleach hit were so white, it worked out perfectly!
I doubt it will stay readable after the first wash, but that’s okay, the pants only cost $2 brand new. I am just playing around.

I like them actually. Usually I'll pick out a favorite lyric in a song, instead of writing out the entire song but..... they still look cool. Maybe a bit heavy on the bleach, but meh, fuck it.
Make sure you bleach the back too tho, otherwise it'll look stupid.

You're really getting into the whole bleach thing lately.
I think maybe for people who like the look it's nice, but I personally think bleached out clothing looks shit.

I have a pair that have the lyrics to "Down In The Park" by Gary Numan on them.

Not too shabby. Bleach also works wonders as an eraser.

Well, after washing, the letters all stayed put! That was a surprise!
But I will do it properly next time. I will dilute the bleach 50/50
and whack on a bunch of it to get that rusty yellow tone, sans lettering.

They look good, I like the idea of song lyrics too. Not something I'm gonna do but more power to ya man! I'm curious to see how the 50/50 mix goes too

I think they look cool.
I'm sure my art teacher used to have some pens which you could draw on clothes with and the ink wouldn't wash out.

Well when I first started, I tried undiluted bleach. I whacked on some and where it hit, the black fabric went white in seconds, right before my eyes in real time. I tried diluting it something like 80:20 water/bleach. I poured it on and where it touched, it acted very slowly and when the reaction stopped, the result was an unappealing brown muck color.
So then I tried a 50:50 mix. I whacked some on a new pair of pants, and the reaction was perfect! In a few minutes it stopped at a rusty yellow color! The bleach I used was Ultra Javex, by Clorox.
I remember way back, when Malice and I were friends, he had to lean on me to give it a try. Now I can't stop trying this and that with the bleach.

I used to write/paint songs that I've been raving over random things I own... I never thought of putting them on clothes, though. I wouldn't want people staring just to make out the words. But then this is an interesting feat. Maybe I'll give something of the sort as a personalized present to a friend.

It looks a bit like you had a crazy night and jizzed all over the place, but I like the idea, and will try it as well because I'm too unoriginal to come up with a clever thing to do with my own pants...

You know, if you just want to wear pants that don't look stupid, no one will think less of you because your clothes aren't 'clever'.

Hey, I have limited cash and materials, so what you see is what I have. I don’t have tons of things to modify. I don’t have all kinds of paint pens and markers and leather dye, and stencils right now. I am doing the best I can with the limited tools and clothing I have, so shut the fuck up.
The pants were just an experiment. At first, I just wanted to whack on some bleach, but I used too much and it was too strong. It went white, and it was a disaster. Later on, I figured out how to dilute the bleach to get the color I wanted. I was about to throw out that pair, but I salvaged them and tried out something else. I only wore the lyrics pants a few times. They don’t look too good I know that.

Thanks for the compliment RozzVanian! But it it doesn't look too good, I need to learn how to modify cloths better and buy some more clothes to diy and paint pens, dye, and other supplies.
I am not too good (yet) at clothing alterations, and I am really inexperienced. Look to the other senior members for clothing diy advice okay? I just don't want to steer you down the wrong road.
I certainly try to be creative with my clothes. Oh well, I will practice and get better.
