Goths don't have a fragrance preference as a whole (besides absinthe and cloves...and blood), to my knowledge, so you'll have to ask her what her personal preferences are.

I agree with Sendo, just ask her what she likes or get her a GC to a store which sells a variety of fragrances.
I'm in my 30s and I wear clove oil (well used to- my vial got lost in the process of moving and I need to find a source for it here in my not so new home). I also like Dewberry by The Body Shop, Pure Poison, Twilight Woods by Bath + Body Works, Japanese Cherry Blossom by Bath + Body Works, and Vanilla fragrances. I also like white florals and woodsy stuff.
Good luck finding something she loves!

I wear my natural scent with a hint of soap and deordorant, however, I found White Shoulders and Tresor are the best. CK1 is good. It has a light citrus, misty scent.

Another problem with buying fragrance as a gift is that it may not smell particularly pleasant on the recipient. My preferred scents are "Opium" by Yves Saint Laurent, "Poison" by Christian Dior and "Obsession" by Calvin Klein. I also like patchouli, amber, frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood and musk essential oils.

i love poison. i have an older bottle and for some reason it's just a little bit bigger than the newer one that's sold.
i've been hearing a lot about Obsession, can you describe it?

To me, Obsession smells like oranges and sandalwood. When I wear it, the scent starts off sweet then dries down to the woody, sensual notes.

Depends.
If I'm at home/sober, Swiss Army or Diesel.
If I'm on the road, a combination of stale cigarette smoke, urine and cheap whiskey.

I would describe it as an Oriental fragrance that initially smells of citrus.
From the Calvin Klein website:
- Top notes: mandarin, bergamot, vanilla, green nuances
- Mid notes: jasmine, orange blossom, sandalwood, vetiver, exotic spices
- Base notes: amber, oakmoss, incense, musk

Kinda like P.o.S, except I smell generally of beer instead of whisky and petrol instead of urine.

I made my own scent at Bo Essentials but I rarely wear it as I'm a rather low maintenance kind of girl.

I like Poison by Dior. I also like Rock and Roses by Valentino and Fever by Celine Dion. Some of the body mists from Bath and Body Works are ok.

I usually just wear this cherry blossom scented body spray I bought from Bath and Body Works, but on special occasions, I wear a perfume by Vera Wang (I forgot the name).

I like Moonlit Path by Bath and Body Works. Also, Rainkissed Leaves by B&B W is good too.
It helps to ask her though. If you don't want her finding out you are planning to get her something, just casually bring it up in conversation.
