Last Movie I watched....... Hmmm.... I think it was Domino...... No..... Wait.... It was The Raven. 1963, Vincent Price and Boris Karloff in a Nutty Remake of Edgar Allen Poe's poem of the same Title.
Cheesy..... but wasnt in the 60's

The last grown up movie I watched was "Good Night and Good Luck". I have watched it twice in the past month. I love it. It is an incredibly well acted, no frills look at a dark period in American history and media. Brilliant.
We went to see "The Wild" last weekend. It was entertaining for us, and it was our two-year olds first movie. He did pretty well too, considering he is a ball of fire, unable to sit long enough to even eat a meal. I wouldn't say it's great, but it was fair.

I finally got to see "Memoirs of a Geisha" yesterday.
I have to say I was a little disappointed. I expected more.
I get to see "Silent Hill" tonight! I am so excited.

I watched this last night, its part of my Hammer Horror Collection box set (essential for anyone who loves Hammer Horror films : The Devil Rides Out, The Horror of Frankenstein (complete with Dave `Darth Vader` Prowse as the monster), The Scars of Dracula, Lust for a Vampire, and Blood from the Mummys Tomb).
Hammer films rule !!!.

"Mirrormask". I love Neil Gaiman, and the movie was most definitely the amazing visual spectacle I expected it to be. Beautifully done, although it moved a little slowly at parts.

Yes, it was visually stunning, but I wasn't overly enamoured by Stephanie Leonidas. A little too high-school stagey for me.
I watched the Beat Takeshi film " Brother" on Saturday. Not bad, but a bit awkwardly paced.

I watched 'Chocolat' in class. Cute film but very predictable.
Johnny Depp was in it though, gorgeous as always.

I watched "Voodoo" last night. Yet another "scary sorority" movie. Boring.
The day before that, I watched "Wallace and Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit". That one was rather funny (think cute little animated bunnies howling at the full moon and hitting themselves in the chest like gorillas).

I saw Gypsy 83 over the weekend. I liked the pretty gothic boy. And all the cemetaries. And the Stevie Nicks references.

I finally saw King Kong. It was good, but not at all the calibre that I expected. On a scale from 1 - 10, I would give it a 6. Hubby was also only mildly impressed. While King Kong was very well done, the dinosaurs were not portrayed accurately, and Jack Black was not horrible in that personality, but nothing to write home about either. Adrian Brody was barely a supporting role in my opinion. I'm not sure what all the fuss was about. I guess chicks just dig him (ewwww!).
We have Capote on the rental list next. I am truly excited to see that. Philip Seymour Hoffman is excellent in everything he does, and is an especially wonderful transvestite.

Yeah, but this movie didn't have Stevie in it, actually, which was friggin' dissappointing. And the song or two they used of Stevie were remade by other people. (!!) So, I'm thinking that she wanted nothing to do with this movie? Even though she is "the unlikely mother of Goth".
