Lightbulb Research for my essay

I'm working on a personal essay at the moment and I'm discussing the audience for the contemporary short story and I was wondering if you guys could answer a couple of questions for me.

1. Do you write short stories?

2. Do you spend any time online reading short stories?

(If yes, do you do it often? If no, why not?)

3. As writers, do you feel that it is important to go into sites that offer short stories and have a read and show your support?

4. If you come across a good site that offers short stories, do you recommend it to your friends, family and colleges?

5. Do you prefer to read short stories online, in magazines or in book format?

6. Would you ever publish a short story on the Internet?

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jules

1. Do you write short stories? Yes, I haven't in a while, though.

2. Do you spend any time online reading short stories?

(If yes, do you do it often? If no, why not?) Occasionally. Mostly, I don't have the time/attention span.

3. As writers, do you feel that it is important to go into sites that offer short stories and have a read and show your support? Not really but I do think it's a nice thing to do.

4. If you come across a good site that offers short stories, do you recommend it to your friends, family and colleges? Of course.

5. Do you prefer to read short stories online, in magazines or in book format? Book.

6. Would you ever publish a short story on the Internet? I think I have, actually.

and no problem!

1. Do you write short stories? I've tried halfheartedly. I intend to in the future.

2. Do you spend any time online reading short stories? Yes, but not often. It's hard to concentrate for long enough to actually finish a story with so much going on. Besides, it hurts my eyes.

3. As writers, do you feel that it is important to go into sites that offer short stories and have a read and show your support? Sure it's important. I just don't do it.

4. If you come across a good site that offers short stories, do you recommend it to your friends, family and colleges? Sure. I would, that is.

5. Do you prefer to read short stories online, in magazines or in book format? In book format. When I read magazines, I don't expect to be spending any length of time reading stories.

6. Would you ever publish a short story on the Internet? Yes.

1. Do you write short stories?
If i think i have a good enough story idea i will.

2. Do you spend any time online reading short stories?
Sometimes yes, but not often my internet connection is terrible.

3. As writers, do you feel that it is important to go into sites that offer short stories and have a read and show your support?
No actually they seem to do well enough even without my support.

4. If you come across a good site that offers short stories, do you recommend it to your friends, family and colleges?
We arent a very well read group.

5. Do you prefer to read short stories online, in magazines or in book format?
Books, definitly. Its harder to stare at a screen for four hours reading a story.

6. Would you ever publish a short story on the Internet?
Nope, most of what i write i ensure will never see the light of day. Im a bigger artist than writer.

You're welcome Juliet Bathory. hope this was helpful.

1. Do you write short stories?
It's how I started off writing (unless you count the poems at 4)

2. Do you spend any time online reading short stories?
Oh yes. A lot of the time I download them onto my plamtop so I can read them in bed.

(If yes, do you do it often? If no, why not?) Probably at least once a week.

3. As writers, do you feel that it is important to go into sites that offer short stories and have a read and show your support?
Heck yeah. I'm all for mutual support and learning.

4. If you come across a good site that offers short stories, do you recommend it to your friends, family and colleges?
Like a shot!

5. Do you prefer to read short stories online, in magazines or in book format?
No preference

6. Would you ever publish a short story on the Internet?
Not sure. Perhaps. Depends how brave I was feeling.

Have fun!

1. Do you write short stories? I have, but not with any kind of frequency.

2. Do you spend any time online reading short stories? Again, not frequently, but I have been known to do so from time to time. I prefer to read print stories rather than those on a glowing screen.

(If yes, do you do it often? If no, why not?) I think I answered this above.

3. As writers, do you feel that it is important to go into sites that offer short stories and have a read and show your support? Yes.

4. If you come across a good site that offers short stories, do you recommend it to your friends, family and colleges? Sometimes. Most people I know aren't interested or don't have the time though.

5. Do you prefer to read short stories online, in magazines or in book format? Book format.

6. Would you ever publish a short story on the Internet? Probably not, but if I had exhausted all other options I might.
