Government Databases

I posted a thread on this before, which I can't find, so I'll start a new one here.

http://www.slate.com/id/2146879

This article from slate talks about many states now starting online database registries like the sex offender registry, now for various drug users (primarily meth in this article).

As I mentioned before, it starts with one, moves to the next group they can label 'bad' and get away with it, then moves on again.

So it has now moved from just the 'sex offenders online registry' to meth dealers now having to sign up and report their locations plus be listed online. Whos next? Guess we wait as each crime finds its way to being classed so after you leave jail your tracked for life, and failure to report you location can put you right back in jail.

Also note that 1 in 5 americans have been in the prison system or are in the prison system. This means if this trend continues that 20% of america will have all their personal info online, as well as have to ask permission from the government to move, change jobs, etc.

It pays to live a relatively/externally uninteresting life.
