Never been much of a dancing person, but if something makes you happy, then you should be more than willing to go it alone.

Aaroneet is right -- I have had more fun dancing alone -- you can be crazy and no one is there to remind you how stupid you looked three years after -- no one truly knows you except maybe peripherally -- and you don't have to worry about a friend getting all pissed off you are not paying enough attention, you can do yo own thang -- try it!

I would go by myself but the only places where dancing is an option are clubs in Baltimore or DC (neither of which I want to be in alone unless I am heavily armed as I do not want to be mugged/*****/abducted). If only there was a nice gay club around here
