Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

I personally think it's all a matter of opinion.
Like when you meet someone who listens to rap and they say all metal sucks,
Or someone who listens to country saying all rap sucks.
It depends on the person.
I love both metal and goth genres of music.
It's just damn music.

Holy fuck.
You CANNOT be this stupid.
And you wonder why people say you are a troll?
No, it's not.
If you really think bands like Christian Death, Siouxie and the Banshees, and The Cure are metal you're a damn moron.

I feel bad defending metal when I have people like this in my corner.
Though I still have JCC and SOD, so I guess we're still in the positive.

I don't hate you. Saying I hate you would be like saying I hate a dog with no legs trying to cross a busy freeway.

I like metal a lot. I'm just not vocal about it.

I'm going to go off topic here but, oh well. I never really got how Christian Death, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and The Cure...could all be called "goth". I mean...The Cure has some dark songs...but to me they have such a variety I don't feel you can just say "they're goth". And...well, The Cure sounds nothing like Christian Death, how could you lump those two bands together? I suppose Siouxsie and the Banshees best fits "goth" but...Siouxsie and the Banshees and Christian Death are nothing alike in my opinion. Anyway...there's my rant, on not understanding why bands are called goth.

True.
Somehow it's just the genre I have always heard all of them grouped into.
