Never liked that song. Didn't like it when Lennon did it, didn't like it when Manson did it, didn't like it when Green Day did it.

I pretty much can't stand The Casualties. I actually thought they were alright at first, but then I looked at the big picture and just... no.

I am, however, in love with Rubella Ballet. Just trying to stick with the theme of this thread.

Yeah, I got it. I had no snappy comeback, so I tried shifting off the subject. Didn't work.

I still like The Casualties though, even if they're a bit of a joke.

Correction, I like the Under Attack album. Never listened to anything else by them.

My mum's seen them.
And I could have seen them at the Feeding of the 5000 afterparty.
But my mum ended up not talking to her friend.
I fucking love Rubella Ballet.

This isn't the kind of music that's been posted lately, but it stomps some serious colons, so enjoy:

DUDE!

ashes to ashes, dust to dust
once fertile land, now barren crust
a "clear cut" path tred foolishly
into the grasp of industry
listen closely, can you hear
the falling of the tree
deep within the forest heart
where no one's there to see
the ****** of an eon's growth
squandered callously
another murdered biosphere
consumed by industry
cry of the seabirds, vanished with time
waves no longer crash the shoreline
the sea is now content to boil
weighted down with heavy oil
corpses cast out from the sea
rot on the shore, amidst debris
their skeletons slowly decompose
no longer sun to bleach the bones.

^Lyrics

... DUDE!!

Penis Envy or Stations of the Crass. Feeding of the 5000 or Yes Sir, I Will are also great.

Crass CDs will be sold for about a tenner in most places now.
Most of them have a label on that says something along the lines of: "Don't pay more than £2.50 for this album."
You're better off downloading the discography.
While you're at it check out Zounds, Flux of Pink Indians, Contempt, Discharge and possibly Conflict (personally I think Conflict are shit boring but look into it yourself.)

And Joker - When I saw the name Choking Victim I groaned at the though of another grindcore band, I'm pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, I hate grindcore, you know any time I suggest a band, it's great.

D-Control

They're a local hardcore/crust band.
They're fucking awesome.

Just thought I'd promote one of my favourite local bands, and keep this thread alive.

It's not resentment. It's annoyance. If he's not posting obscene amounts of self-pity, he's posting about shitty music merely for its shitty sound, not so much its lyrics, as you said.
Were you here during his period where literally every post he posted mentioned how he liked Japanese hardcore? Specifically Japanese hardcore. Or when he didn't stop mentioning Napalm Death. Or when it was all about Motorhead.

But has never talked about Biafra's politics or his spoken word works? No.

Punkpunkpunk. Fuck his punk. He's the type of punk that wears The Casualties patches, and I hate that punk.
Damn. I couldn't agree more. It's like you pulled this from my mind.
