Whats that in the sky???
I hope I don't get slaughtered for making a new post. But...
What are your thoughts on the existance of aliens?
I believe something could be out there. But I don't think they are the buggy-eyed grey guys with big heads. Life is a very random thing and the chances of beings from another planet looking anything like us is slim to none.
Well thats my opinion. Whats yours?

I think, considering the size of just our galaxy (not to mention this universe, and the myriad other universes "out there"), it would be very arrogant of us to think we're alone.
Whether we're being visited, or not, remains to be seen. After all, if we're to believe all the semi-toothless, inbred, uneducated hicks-in-the-sticks claims of being abducted and anally probed, this would make me seriously question whether these "aliens" are really an advanced race.
And -if- some race of being sufficiently advanced enough to travel to our backwater planet, shows up, I have my doubts as to whether they'll be all nicey-nicey like Steven Speilberg envisioned it.
Just one look at our own history shows that people with the desire to explore and expand were also notoriously aggressive.
Disclaimer: Of course, I'm applying human thought process and emotion to this, and we're speaking of a race that is completely alien to us, so I could be waaaaaay off track on that score.

If another race of beings could travel from another galaxy I highly doubt they would be able to produce that kinda of technology if they were hostile.
They would be too wrapped up in there own violence and drama to conentrate on such a huge goal.
Yeah but then again the same rules on this planet would more than likely not apply with another.
Maybe it wouldn't that hard for them either if they were created with a much larger intellect then ours.
I don't know i could go off about this all day so I'll shut up now.

That's a great perspective to have on it ,Tom.
I think maybe we're like flies they like to pull the wings off of or experiment on cuz we're not as highly evolved as they. After all that's what we do to species here that aren't as highly evolved.

"nicey-nicey"?! ET was creapy, man. Remember when he was running around screaming in that dress? I was afraid of my closet for the longest time. Do I think there are aliens out there? I don't know. Do I think this is an interesting and unique new thread? Yes. Also, I think it would be awesome if alians were like Zim (I know, I'm a geek).

I, without a doubt, believe in extraterrestrials. Maybe I'm too much of an XF fan, maybe I've read "Chariots of the Gods" a few too many times, but still.
I subscribe to the theory that extraterrestrials probably DO look like the stereotypical (<>..<>) guy. Why? Just the fact that that image exists is proof enough for me. SO many of those claiming to have been abducted described their abductors as looking like that, even before that became the popular image of extraterrestrials.
I don't believe that they're the only aliens. I also believe that if there are planets more advanced than Earth, there are planets less advanced as well... and someday, we'll be abducting them.
(Note: I don't usually come off as this batshit, do I?)

It's okay, GBW, you're allowed to embrace your weirdness. It's fun!
Hell, I think everyone has some bit of oddness about them. And no, I don't think you're bat-shit.
HOT-shit, perhaps.
Jane, I saw ET as an adult, so I didn't think it was all that creepy. BUt thinking about it, I can see how it would have that effect on a kid.

I still get scared when I watch it and ET comes up and takes the M&Ms while the kid was camping outside. *shudder* IT's not the fact that it was an alien... it was just wierd. I dunno. GBW- you're far from bat-shit

ET was the first movie I ever saw on TV at four. ET didn't scare me as much as the people who went to take him away did. But that was just me. I was scared of the government at a young age.

I think it's so cool that the makers of "The Matrix" have the last name that was my mom's maiden name. I should be making money off of that movie! .... somehow

I obivouly do beleive in aliens but I heard stories that I cannot swallow.
My ex roomate believed that aliens or the goverment (she s not sure)
abducted her and implanted silcone in her face to block her chakras. These were the same aliens who artifacally insiminated her with her son!!!
She would spend hours in the bathroom rubbing at her face with tiolet paper and rubbing alchol to get the "silicone" out. She tried to show what she was pulling out of her skin once and all that was there was balled up tiolet paper.
Needless to say I moved out within a month. She also started to tell me that I was no longer allowed to use our living room and blocked my door with a huge shelving unit. Plus she screwed me on the bills. Gotta love crazy pricks like that!
