twilight princess VS ocarina of time + parallel timelines

don't know if this has been discussed yet but:

twilight princess VS ocarina of time

which is the better Zelda game?

also, with regards to the confusion of the whole Zelda time line deal (as in, the order of all the titles, including for portable devices, in the order of a plausible storyline, not release dates)
rather than racking your brains in trying to fit them onto one time line, i found fabulous youtube videos posted by ' panoslink ' on a theory that suggests there are infact two timeliness, (each in a parallel universe) therefore allowing all the titles to fit.
apparently the time line splits when link goes back/forward in time in ocarina of time, therefore creating another time line in an alternate universe...

i reckon that's pretty sweet, enriching the storylines all the more.

angry debates welcome!

Um Ocarina because it made my life worth living as a kid.

also you'd have to be a douche not to know the split timeline theory. It makes a hell-of-alot of sense.

yea i know - it's just that i talked to some 'hardcore' gamer types who were pretty much gob smacked by the suggestion.

did you not enjoy twilight princess as much?

you know what scared the living shit out of me in ocarina of time? those skull spider crawly things inside the deku tree - when they made that rattling noise. *shudder*.
and the first boss, Gohma, i was like, "what the hell, i think you have a piece of math in your eye"

i haven't seen it yet but have you seen the so-called ocarina of time 'movie' circulating on youtube? any good?

Ocarina is to Link's Awakening as Twilight Princess is to Ocarina. Okami beats them both.

The alternate time line idea is so nerd status. All Zelda games are pretty much the same story retold sans the gameboy titles. Oh. And how about this? If it's just an alternate time line then why such different Hyrule geography on each game? Explain that, nerds.

Twilight Princess hands down...only because then i can employ the Twilight hack on this god forsaken Wii.

The last Zelda game i played was on Nintendo and the cartridge was gold AND we were finally able to save our progress. That was a cool fucking day.

IGN worked together with people to make an APRIL FOOLS joke. It was a trailer for a Zelda movie. It is quite well done in my opinion.

I concur, its like every game is a remake reinvisioned. If there really is two time lines, then they never put a whole lot of thought into it.

But I liked Twilight Princess better. Story line was better, gameplay was more varied and fun, and Midna is far better than Navi and Zelda put together.

Twilight Princess, of course no matter how good it is or how good future games may be there will always be people who think Ocarina is better because it is a classic.

Like when FF7 is called the greatest rpg of all time, no matter how many flws you point out in it, there will always be people who will think it is the best because it is a classic.

"Ocarina" is a classic, now? What happened to "Legend of Zelda"?

When put next to the current generation it has been classified as a classic. "Legend of Zelda" will soon just be old and bad in comparison to Ocarina, I guarantee you in a decade maybe people will pretty much think of Ocarina as the original Zelda, hell, some people already do.

Yeah, I feel old knowing that Ocarina is considered the classic that all new Zelda games are compared to. It wasn't that long ago

Ocarina. Twilight Princess ended up boring me, and the idea that Link could carry around that ball and chain stretched my suspension of disbelief beyond its threshold. The wolf shit sucked also.

Hunting down those bugs was tedious. So were many Ocarina quests.

Have I mentioned that Okami is awesome? Anybody want to dispute that? I'll kick your ass.

No quest's reward can compare to the sheer majesty of the Biggoron's sword.

I can't even remember what had to be done to get it. Something about eyedrops.

What about mating chocobos to get the knights of the round materia?

honestly, my biggest reward was the 'open chest' tune. *yes i know, nerd*
That sound, as a doorbell. then you can feel victorious every bloody time you open the door...or some shit like that.

I never bothered with getting Knights of the Round in FF7 or Biggoron's Sword in Ocarina (it was in Ocarina right)

I've never been one for doing the semi-insane and annoying side quests.

The best thing about Ocarina is rapist redeads. Those things make me laugh every time and used to scare me as a little kid.

Ah yeah. They shock you into paralysis and then **** you.

I saw a comic about that somewhere.

I am pretty sure there are similar enemies in Twilight though.
