I need to do that when I get back home. Unless I want to find a summer sublet here... but that's something of a hassle.

Mortalis, really? Wow, I missed seeing that if you posted it anywhere else, but that really sucks. You don't deserve that crap, and I know it must seem like a very great weight on your shoulders.'

The good news ... (yes, there IS good news) ... is that in the time I've been around here and read your posts, I've come to a few conclusions about you. You ARE one tough cookie. Oh, it might not feel like that to you all the time, but believe me ... when the chips are down, you get your back up. You are smart, resiliant and courageos. You are a lion among kittens.

And people with a lot bigger problems and a lot less going for them have risen up and done great things with their lives. I have no doubt that you are capable of that too. This is but a speedbump in the Grand Prix that your life will be. I believe in you.

Here here... Mortalis is a damn right sexy strong bitch. I imagine she'll kick some ass and take names, it may just take a bit to fight through this one. But all the luck and well wishes be with you sweetheart.

I mentioned them in "What are you reading?" thread too.

They are both huge collections of stories, one of fantasy, and the other of horror. Various authors, such as Tanith Lee (in both of the books), Lord Dunsany, Ursula LeGuin, Michael Swanwick, Michael Moorcock (The Mammoth Book of Fantasy), Kim Newman, Michael Marshall Smith, Ramsey Campbell (Dark Terrors 6), to mention just the ones I'm most interested in. The fantasy book covers the period from the late 19th century to 2001, and in the horror collection are stories published in 2002, and one from 1940.

Lord Dunsany... Is he the guy who kept talking about "Beyond the fields we know?" Cuz if so, I read part of a book by him. There was a part where he was talking about weiner dogs, and he called them "The long, thin dogs that hunt." That absolutely cracked me up.

Today I woke up and had breakfast and went downtown and then my friend was going home cuz she doesn't have to write exams, and then I had supper and now I'm here.

I avoided writing a term paper about King Lear's Anagnorisis.
I avoided a similiar essay designed to explicate "The Thought Fox" by Ted Hughes.
I took my sister out to lunch for her birthday.
I contemplated the end of the world as I normally do at tea time.
Oh yeah, I joined this website.

Actually this happened yesterday, not today, but I had my Tae Kwon Do grading.
I did really well until my partner kicked me in the stomach... but I finshed the grading and I think that I passed. I find out in a couple weeks.

Then I ripped up an old t-shirt that I didn't like and turned it into a really cute singlet.

What's an explication? Heard of explanations, but not explications...

I prepared mushrooms with scrambled eggs and some garlic for me and my boyfriend. We are like purring kittens now.

Today I went to church for Palm Sunday, had to sneak out to make a phone call to someone who went back home to Belgium I cried, I got over it, I went to the beach to have a cigarette, I got picked on for my accident on Friday night, I walked home, fell asleep and now I'm here...

I totally lurve the 'mammoth' books! I think I may have read Dark Terrors, but I can't remember. I've read so many anthologies it's ridiculous! I'm truly a short story fan.

Yesterday was family day.

So we went to the Houston Museum and saw the Body Worlds 3 exhibit. It was absolutely stunning! I loved it in so many ways! To really see what lies beneath our fancy veneer(without having to carve someone open yourself) was spectacular.

Human beings are such complicated machinery, it boggles the mind. I was like a kid in a candy store! If you ever get the chance to see it, please, please do!

I may not(make that WON'T) get to see Bauhaus open for NIN this year, but I got to see something else I've longed to for years.

Happy Wolfie!

What year are you? I hate explications. I have to write one by Monday.
I might have joined yesterday. I take my days with a shot of zen and lemonade meaning, I generally have no clue what day it is or what I am doing at that moment.

I am actually an old man probably, over 30. I am finishing by second bachelor's degree this one in English: Creative Writing. I have two classes left before I'm done, and then on to the Master's (someday).
