Cosplay kitty ears (nekogirl fetish seems to be popular...and I love anime - especially the superheroine saves the world kind...) J-pop (I have a ton of the stuff.) and my obsession with anything pretty and sparkly.

But nothing pink. I don't own anything pink and haven't since I was about ten.

Except my new black and pink gloves with the safety pins. I love gloves.

More unGothines... I don't drink, I don't smoke and I don't plan to do either in the mean time. I watch chick flicks. Every other night I dance to a collection of Top 40 hits while working out. I'm religiously voting for Joey Fatone in this season of 'Dancing With The Stars' because I loved *NSYNC (and still do) when I was younger. I go to 'punk' shows. All my close friends are "normal".

And I don't believe that all of humanity is evil. I got over that when I turned 15.

I don't know if this can really be answered. I mean, to make a list of "ungoth" things we do and like, we must first make a concrete definition of what IS goth. That ain't happening.

Maybe, since goths do all sorts of ungoth things, they don't have to be considered ungoth?

I think this thread is geared more towards the aesthetics of 'goth' rather than the subculture itself.

This is easily the most pretentious website I have ever hung out on. I love it !!!

Goth, "Goth", goth, "goth"

What is "goth", what isn't, what is, King of the castle, king of the castle, don't do this, go do that. The chair is walking down the street.

Metal is never Goth. Goth is never Metal. "Goth" is superior.

America is terrible and fat.

I dropped my suitcase with a rooster in it and it said "Pakaok. !!!

Jesus fucking christ, lighten up, people. I love this place !!!

By coincidence, I just watched a rented copy of Borat as soon as I had read this.

I actually like the color pink. I like being out in the sun. (Gardening in the dark sounds like fun but, I think the neighbors would wonder about my sanity if I were in the yard after dark gardening by the light of a Colman lantern. "Psst..Robert, she's out there digging another hole.") I rarely wear make-up and I've never been to a goth club.

- My bedroom is a riot of colours. I have light blue and purple walls, a bright green table, yellow rug, a purple elephant shaped clothes hamper, lots of brightly coloured things hanging from my roof, and wall covered in pictures.
- I'm usually smiling and like making people laugh
- I have bright clothes
- My friends are normal...well relatively speaking...
- I am really really clumsy
- I listen to lots of UNgoth music
- I collect teddy bears, elephants, dragons, dice and free postcards.
- Chick flicks
- My evil black cat familiar looks like this...

If I knew how to pull it off tastefully, I would have lots of autumnal colors in my wardrobe. Sadly, I honestly think I look better in darker colors.

Kontan- you would look absolutely delicious in fall colors!

As for more ungothy things about me-

I am a classically trained dancer. (A bun head til I was 13, then I moved on)

I love virtually ALL genres (even Bjork) of music and can be found listening to bands like Muse, The Killers, Interpol, The Strokes, Bloc Party...etc... more often than I can be found listening to anything remotely "goth."

I like funky retro things from the 60s and 70s.

I'm really into personal communications items and gadgets ranging from computers to cell phones.

I study and teach traditional Japanese dance.

I was a tall flagger in high school and can still be caught twirling from time to time.

I like cutsie promo cerials like Buzz Lightyear cereal, Mickey's Magic cereal, Timone and Pumba's Mud 'N' Bugs cereal......

I love modern architecture and cutsie Japanese most everything.
(the best toys alway have and still do come from Japan!)

I'm a walking cliche but I can recall a few things at the moment:

- My room is coloured cream (mostly because I'm not allowed to alter it), and I have a floral bedspread and curtains

- I have a soft spot for old British comedy

- My cat is tortoiseshell-coloured, not black

And...........

- My dressing gown is pink

Oh, and I don't drink, smoke or do drugs (though I might develop a fondness for red wine when I'm of legal age)

I listen to pretty much all music. I even manage to like Fall Out Boy to an extent. And I own about 5 different shades of pink nail polish.
