Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diaboli

I know that there are few C.o.F. and Bal-Sagoth fans here, so I'll take the assumption that there are some Dimmu Borgir fans at G-Net as well? Anyways, everyone's favorite commercial "goth" "black metal" band (I'll flame them as much as I like, but hell, I do like a whole bunch of their songs) has got a new album coming out called "In Sorte Diaboli" on April 24th. It's supposed to be a concept album, and I've hear a tiny bit of it that actually isn't that bad. Not always my favorite, but definitely worth a listen.

Anyone else quasi-excited about this album, or a fan of DB's earlier work?

Discuss bitcheszszs.

New stuff? I will have to make a point to listen. I heard they're coming to Georgia in May.

New stuff huh? I might decide to check it out, but then again maybe not. Dimmu Borgir music has watered down a lot. Once they started singing in english, I kinda lost intrest. I absolutly hated the remake they did of storm blast, it sounded better in german. I'll check it out, but I hope they brought back their old black metal feel.

I have never really liked Dimmu Borgir, but hey, if they say it's new, I'll give it a listen.

i enjoyed their first album quite a bit. But i find that at metal clubs they tend to play alot of songs from Death Cult Armageddon...so I'm getting used to it.
I'll say this...Shagrath is hot.

Ha, I never cared for corpse paint...

Yeah, I'm actually planning on seeing them in May, since Kataklysm is also on the bill.

German, you say? Well, I checked out some lyrics sites, and the stormblåst lyrics looks very norwegian - and the band is also from norway... I haven't heard all their songs, but those that I have heard are norwegian...

Its a very very good album and its much better than anything Cradle of Filth has put out in recent years. Unfortunately they will never top their pinnacle album 'Enthrone Darkness Triumphant'.

It's good, but they're repeating themselves... there are 3 or 4 good songs on it but the shitty videos bring them down...
And yeah, EDT is one of their best albums....
