Listening to a mix of Motorhead's Bomber/No Sleep Til Hammersmith and Venom's Welcome to Hell and knowing I'll be having a good week.

I had a stressful day as I couldn't sleep last night due to coughing fits, and I was the only on in my department working today, after trying to keep up the insanity under control this old man came in and while he was waiting for his wife to try things on he started talking to me about how he was a paratrooper in the Korean War. At first I was trying not to be distracted, but the mess was too much and I thought "fuck it" and just listened to him go on and on about Korea. It was nice and made me feel a lot better.

What made my day was reading Roger Ebert's review of the new Miley Cyrus movie "The Last Song". In particular, reading this paragraph:
"The Last Song" is based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, who also wrote the screenplay. Sparks recently went on record as saying he is a greater novelist than Cormac McCarthy. This is true in the same sense that I am a better novelist than William Shakespeare. Sparks also said his novels are like Greek Tragedies. This may actually be true. I can't check it out because, tragically, no really bad Greek tragedies have survived. His story here amounts to soft porn for teenage girls, which the acting and the abilities of director Julie Anne Robinson have promoted over its pay scale.
Buh-bam, bitch! Bwah-hah-hah-hah-hah-hah-hah-hah!

Got asked to model swimsuits, which is flattering, but I'm waiting for someone to say "wanna model the fancy dresses?" I wanna model the fancy dresses.
But what really makes my day is that I have a four day weekend!!!

What's made my day is finding out that Amazon sells Bacon Scented Air Freshener!
Don't you think you need a Bacon Scented Air Freshener for YOUR car?
Isn't it a must-have item?
They also have the following items in delicious Bacon flavor: breath mints, dental floss(!), toothpicks, jelly beans, lip balm, soap and gumballs. And if you accidentally poke yourself with the toothpick, they have bacon bandaids!
I also like THIS!

This is the first chocolate cake I have ever made.
It turned out very well, though using proper buttermilk instead of a substitute will no doubt improve it.
It's flavoured with rum, dark unrefined molasses soft sugar, and high grade cocoa powder. It uses olive oil rather than butter for a slightly smoother consistency.

Licking the screen sadly does not induce a Willy Wonka style taste sensation. Just static :__(
On the other foot, my brother bought a Cadbury's chocolate cookbook for my mother, with all manner of delicious looking things I am not allowed to eat very much of. But we have decided upon making an utterly divine looking chocolate tart/cheesecake type thing which I will take to work on Tuesday . Keeps the lads happy and makes sure I can't eat very much of it, since they eat it all first.
I'm going to do the decorative side of things by making the piped chocolate squiggles/shapes , that you pipe onto greasproof paper before putting in the fridge to set, then pick them off and place on end round the edge of the cake . I might make the word TWATFACE espescially for Neil <_<

What made my day?
I formed a band last night, and we are already getting started quite well!
Our first very simple joke single is already done.

Catching up with an old friend who always seems to work crazy hours (being a manager at a sports bar/pool hall will do that) and is almost never able to hang out in the limited free time that I have while up there.

Haha, yeah my sister is a manager at a sports bar/pool hall, we live in the same city but I only see her once every couple of months. She came out home for the weekend too and its the first time I've seen her since Christmas.
What made my day was seeing my little cousins for the first time in a year and a half, I feel so old! I used to babysit them. The oldest is 16, has bigger boobs than me and has a boyfriend her mom doesn't approve of. It seems like yesterday that I was reading her bedtime stories! And I realized that I'll probably still be at university when she moves out, we might end up being classmates XD

While it didn't make my day, the fact that I actually managed to eat two meals today has pleased me. I'm not a big eater (at all), but I'm in the process of training myself to eat in a more regular/balanced pattern.
