Thanks for the info! I just need to find a decent job first, then I can start hunting on the other stuff. Though in my free time I guess it doesn't hurt to start looking in advance. And I'd rather room with someone I already know and know that they're actually decent with money and would pay rent on time, etc...

Anyone ever read "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day?" Yeah, my day's just about at the point where he gets mustard on his shirt. Argh.

I've been helping to haul a lorryload of 20 kg boxes of poster paper out of a container truck today. I ache.

You can quit aching at any time you choose; you just have to make a conscious decision and stop.

Some of you may remember a few months ago I had a bit of an issue with Cox deciding to automatically renew my cable and internet at my old place (as I was moving out) and it was a major hassle but I finally got it taken care of and ended up not having to pay anything. Well apparently that is not the case. After hearing nothing since early July I got woken up by them today telling me that I owe them for my unpaid balance plus collection fees. There have been no notes made to the account since I sent in proof that I do not live at that address, yet I am getting charged with collection fees for avoiding payment. If the last thing that is noted on the account is that they are reviewing the account to see if the charges are valid (and at that point it was not in collections and I had payed everything other than the contested amount) then how the fuck am I avoiding payment?

Jake spent about 45 total minutes on hold (15 to get to the first rep, the rest waiting for the next) and never even got to speak to someone other than to tell them the basic problem and have them immediately transfer him to someone else (who he never go through to).

I am just so sick of dealing with this shit, I think the worst bit is that I can't even talk to someone face to face because the in-store reps can't do anything about resolving billing problems.

Today someone said something that just puzzled me to no end.
They said they are pro-life and they believe in the death penalty. I told them that they were killing someone when they were put to death and they just said "no, not really". WTF!? That's stupid and hippocratical! I was speechless, I just kind of looked at them, stunned for a while. I had no idea anyone could really be that stupid. And the part that baffles me most was the fact that they claim (on an almost daily basis) to be a christian yet believe in disobeying one of the ten commandments. I may not be part of that faith, but I'm pretty certain you're not supposed to do that.
I must say, this dampered my day a good bit.

Have you ever seen Dial-A-Human? http://www.dialahuman.com/Categories.htm#Telephone That should get you directly to a human operator that has a clue.

Well, I feel like shit.

I got assigned two tickets that I was never supposed to take. The first ticket was supposed to be taken by a guy who has ten years more experience than I do, but got assigned to me because he was sick and the rest of the staff was busy. That went horribly wrong in so many ways that I can only sum it up as a living example of the word "clusterfuck".

The other ticket went better, except for two tiny things:

1.) It was at a therapist's office that I was supposed to see.
2.) The resident therapist wanted me to do a whole set of things outside of the scope of what I was there to do, then acted offended when I said that I couldn't do them because I didn't have the hardware with me (because, you know, we all carry three 16-port routers and two laser printers with us), and later compared me unfavourably to a "slightly retarded orangatan" when talking to her coworker.

Well. Fuck.

Yeah, I did that, they just don't have enough reps so you end up holding for ages and when you finally get to someone they just try and figure out what department you really need. Their whole system is retarded.

I'm Exhausted.....christmas season gives me absolutely 0 free time. We're having about a gagillion orders a day, and I'm having to upload double what I usually do, which means major back ache and room for more mistakes, considering the rush. My boss wants me to go faster...but she knows perfectly well that I'm having to fill in, here and there for customer service as well...................0 FREE TIME........self destruct!!!!!

I hear you Jin, it's been super busy at work for me, I miss my friends, haven't seen them in a week. Hopefully I can see them tonight.

Anyways, my rant is as usual, with more women problems. The lady friend I've been talking to as of late has declined my invitation to go on a date with her. her exact words were something like: "You're nice and all, but it's a problem with me, not you."

Bullshit, when somebody says something like that, it's usually me, not them. What am I doing wrong here???????

Feeling really stressed out and tired all the time, I want to go to yoga more often but I gotta save money for Christmas gifts. I usually love Christmas but I just want to get it all over with this year, we're not even going home for Christmas. We're staying in town and having supper with my sister's roommate's family (and i never met them,) I'm honestly dreading having to sit in a room full of strangers on Christmas.
