Dressing like that doesn't make you scary. If you think it does then I think you'll find it's the attitude you project rather than your dress sense that puts people off talking to you. I used to dress in a floor length leather trench coat myself and I never had a problem with 'normal' people not wanting to talk to me because of how I dressed. You are a NORMAL person yourself, there is no special difference between you and the people who choose not wear the clothes you wear you know.

I know all that, but I live in a small country town. The way I dress does come into play. I am, most of the time, a nice person. People just think that I am mean by how I dress. I am usually a quit person. Also, I have above normal intelligence (yes, I have had it tested), and that intimidates people, or they are just nice to me so I help them on their homework.
That type of people are annoying to me. A hate fake people.
Most people I have met in person are to be endured not to be friends with. Also, I have had a long and complicated past, that I will not go into here, that has left me as a suspicious person. I do not trust almost anyone.
I used to (and still find myself doing it from time to time) building walls just to see who will climb over.
Most people are put off by me.
Some people find me scary. It has always been that way.

Everyone has a past. Some people are lucky and have had a really good life, other people aren't. Just because SOME people have treated you badly in the past is no reason to immediately assume that EVERYONE else will.

You say you hate fake people but you are projecting a fake image of yourself. If you are a nice person, be that person. Not everyone will appreciate it or even like you for it but is it more important to be liked or to be true to yourself?
