Okay, the question is about debate.

How do you own someone when you're arguing fact with opinion? And what right do you have to call several people liars when your own credibility is in question?

I believe you can't, unless you say something that makes sense to the other person and somehow changes their mind persuading them on your side.

Debate is not about "owning" anyone, it's about bringing facts from both sides of an argument to the table, and finding a solution that works for both parties involved.
