Question Clothes you want but can't afford right now...

I saw this gorgeous outfit:
front
back
and I wish I could afford it. Even if I tried to make it it would probably cost a pretty penny. I'm not super-talented with sewing anyhow. ::sigh::

So describe clothes you wish you could afford, and include links to photos of it if possible.

Yeah it is great, isn't it. I have a thing for purple for some reason. I also drooled over the following:

vampire tutu
short black dress
red gown

RE: boots, you could always buy some cheap ones at a regular shoe store or department store & dress them up with your own embellishments. I might do this myself as I only have short boots that are very wintery/not appropriate for warmer weather. It would be much easier to decorate boots than to alter regular clothing, I think. Also, I bet after Jan. 1st boots will be on sale b/c they'll start to put out summer shoes & such.

Wow. Those are amazing & many of them so elaborate. They must be outrageously priced!

Ooo - found another great dress:
pinstripe

This stuff is making me dislike my own wardrobe very much. I really need to learn how to sew better (and save up money for materials).

I was looking through the site you posted, Linen (one of them, anyway), and I must say I absolutely adore the following dress:
Lilac Widow Ensemble

My eyes practically popped out of my head when I saw this.

My problem isn't so much about price, but size.

This stupid coat is GORGEOUS!!
http://kambriel.com/opiatespider.html

But if I put it on, it would almost reach my knees, and the width of it would make me look like I'm using some sort of fancy tent.

That coat is really very pretty! BAH - if only I didn't have a car payment - I'd be able to afford these things!

Hah. If I had a job and saved up for awhile I would likely be able to afford these things.

It makes me want to start working. Pronto.

I want everything in this store (Ipso-Facto), but the next thing I am buying from there this weekend (as a gift to myself I do that ALOT lately...) is this freakin' awesome double breasted jacket:

And this trenchcoat is awesome too, then I can look like our buddy Drac!

I like military stuff.
Or more specifically, I like the boots.
And I've always had my eyes on these puppies:

-sigh-

I mostly stay away from internet sites selling great clothing, because I always seem to get depressed about being poor by the time I'm done window shopping.

I do my best with the thrift stores, anyways.

Haha this reminds me of a strange thread on the eBay forums who wrote that eBay should have some way of banning people from posting auctions while they are naked, because said OP doesn't want to purchase stuff from people who type in the nude. It was hilarious. The OP was dead serious too, and everyone responding was like "wtf?".

HumanePain - I wasn't able to view your links, there was some weird error.

Wow those are definitely heavy-duty. I like boots that are slightly heavy, but not some that make me feel like I'll fall through the earth.

We don't have enough thrift stores around here. There is one right down the street with me that occasionally has some really great stuff, but most of it is either way too small or way too big.

I would check into some, GNM, if we had them, but I am afraid we don't. Well, if we do, I know nothing of them.
Even though I live in a very small town, I still am without the slightest clue of what is within it.

Thanks Linen! Homemade stuff is much better anyway...

Asides from boots, which i may just embellish myself, im dying to get ahold of some real Renaissance gear. I had a dress, but its much to big on me now...by a lot. I lost quite a bit of weight, Go me, and as a reward for myself i want to get a real outfit to wear to the Next Sance faire that comes this July. So, heres somethings im torturing myself over, because im probably just going to buy an outfit there for sizing.

http://www.rivithead.com/product_inf...roducts_id/487 - these look beautiful, but i think they are for guys..

yeah.... im greedy, haha XD

^I like all of that stuff except for the Market Wench costume... not my thing. My fave is the Countess Dress, but I also really love the bodice.

Oooh, if you want something affordable for everyday wear Kohl's (a department store) has some really pretty black skirts. I decided to look at their website as I remembered that a skirt I was wearing yesterday is from there. It was actually a skirt I bought to wear to my grandpa's funeral in August, but I wear it all the time now. They're having a great clearance on some of their skirts. Hopefully they'll still be on sale next month so I can buy some.

Hmm maybe there should be a spin-off thread on "Clothes that are really affordable".

I've always liked heavy boots, and I never got why. Yet, I've always liked them.

Anyway.
My little, I wish I had list:

http://www.opsgear.com/s.nl/sc.22/category.4232/.f

I don't perticularily care much for the pants, but the jacket looks really cool.

http://www.opsgear.com/s.nl/it.A/id....&category=4274

I like patrol caps too. They're comfy.

http://www.opsgear.com/s.nl/sc.22/category.4283/.f

And those gloves look good too.
