Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

So it's OK when you do it, but when anyone else does it, it's a heinous crime?

I'm going to second this.
It's hard to be nice to someone who makes it so easy to pick on. Good goth.

You are a jackass, just for the record.
By the way, go ahead call me a Spooky Kid, I wear it with pride god damn it because at least I don't go around shitting all over everyone else. You don't care about me? Good, no skin off my back, but instead of this being a thread where we could have discussed possible music I could have liked which would have resulted in a thread discussing music anyone would like, which I would have loved to see because it would have been pleasant, no you have to come and completely take over the thread.

Thus, I had no intention of "ruining" your thread, but as you said it was OK to thread jack I did so. And, intentionally that idea of thread-jacking was a joke in my eyes. Yeah. *Waves*

Guesso. But if it's it what you want, I am sorry for thread-jacking. There is already a Dresdon Dolls thread, to salvage your threads' intention. Anyway, I don't really see what this is accomplishing.

As of now, nothing.
NOW. I'll give you a topic, the Dresden Dolls are neither from Dresden nor are dolls.
Discuss.

However, this is the well known history. If you read the Shadow History of Music, you will find out that they are in fact both from Dresden and are actually Dolls in disguise as humans. It's in the chapter after the one where you find out Peter Murphy was made a vampire at the same time as Bowie, and they are actually brothers under Dracula and Murphy was just the less successful brother.

I *LOVE* the Dresden Dolls. I got to see Amanda Palmer perform solo a few months ago at a small venue & I was literally right at the stage (I sat on it at one point). I got to meet her, too, and she was very nice & cool. The performance was awesome & her comments during the show were priceless.
I would love to meet Brian (and see him perform as well), but I'm not sure if they'll do a regular DD show in this area anytime soon.
Love, love, love them!

Ahh ye Gothes!!! Where dost thou hide thy humourous senses?
Anyway I think I've summarised most of this:
Vyv is an Asshole who is like " Good Goth Blah Blah Spooky Kids and Poseurs," Ophelia has nothing good to say about anyone, and starts fights and is always negative and never ever or possibly once did start a fight in picture thread, and Wormboy is one of the aforementioned Blahblahposeurs and proud.
Done.
In case it doesnt leak onto the internet. This post was not even slightly serious.

Right, anyway.
I think my favorite part of their music is Amanda's voice. It's not always pitch perfect, and she adds so much emotion to the music. It's honest.
The lyrics are really clever, too.

I love their lyrics, and I agree she puts a LOT of emotion in to her music.
Damn some of their songs are INTENSE.

Its the one concert I prefer to attend solo because her words and preformance feel like such an intimate conversation between her and I. I met Brian and he was incredibly intelligent and down to Earth, Amanda seems the same in her Blogs but I dont really know from personal experiance. They are my favorite band though.

I'm pretty jealous. Brian is one of my favorite musicians, not only because he is a wicked drummer (I drum) but he seems like a really bad ass kinda guy (not in the kick puppies way, but the I read this book one time way).

Maybe you could arrange to meet him. I know he's busy, but maybe you could arrange to make him dinner or something.
But no sex.
