favorite cosmetic products

Do you all have a list or brand of makeup and hair stuff that you are devoted to? I love coty powder. Pales me out so realistically it is amazing. Lasts all day too. I love mane n tail shampoo and conditioner. As much as I straighten and dye my hair this stuff is amazing for it even though it is for horses. And Tressemme hairspray. Damn, I can shellac this stuff on so my blunt bob is hard as a rock and won't move and I can sweat like a pig and it won't curl up, but it still looks soft and it still bounces realistically and it never flakes if I comb it out before I go to bed. Oh, and vaseline aloe fresh lotion with SPF 15. Only sunscreen I have found that doesn't smell like sunscreen or feel greasy.

For foundation, I use MAC. I also use Max Factor eyeliner and Rimmel mascara. That's basically all I have. I'm not fussy about any hair products, but I mainly buy Tresemmé shampoo and conditioner, and any strong hold hairspray will do.

Ben Nye. I -love- Ben Nye. Especially their white face powder. And I refuse to wear any other mascara than the one in the pink and green bottle from Maybelline, even though it is a shitty and unethical brand. I also buy MAC stuff, eyeshadows in particular. They make the best black eyeshadow I´ve come across this far that I can actually afford to use.

Inglot eyeshadow. The blackest black, the greenest green, and IT LASTS ALL FUCKING NIGHT. Seriously. From 9pm to 7am my eyeshadow is perfect, even when I'm sweating the whole time. And it's cheaper than MAC.

Aqua Net. Shit. I singlehandedly create holes in the ozone every day from so much use.

I don't wear much make up at all so I just use New York Color's foundation, I haven't found any other make up that doesn't test on animals, but then I never really put any effort into it, I could go without any make up at all if necessary. For shampoo I recently started using Living Clean, I must say I'm a big fan. My hair gets greasy easily but I haven't had a problem since I started using that shampoo.

Although I don't use it very often, Schwarzkopf's hairspray (dubbed 'Black Death' because of its black can) is extremely effective.

For shampoo I usually use Garnier Fructis but I'm still trying to get rid of dandruff from winter so I'm using Head and Shoulders right now.

For hair products I'm using this Garnier Fructis hair putty stuff to help with flyaways.

Hair spray is Suave cause I didn't wanna spend a lot of money on hair spray since I rarely use it.

I don't wear to much makeup cause I suck at putting it on but I do wear black eyeliner. No specific brand cause I can't afford expensive stuff and I have yet to find any a drugstore brand that doesn't settle in my creases and smear =/ I usually like to buy a retractable kind cause pencils suck and when I sharpen them they mess up and break off and all that.

When I stop being broke as all ever I think I'm gonna try this eyeliner by Darla. It has a sealing paint thing thats supposed to make the eyeliner not move until you take it off.

For mascara I usually use Cover Girl

And I bought some cheap lip stick just cause I was trying the color. I need to find a really good burgundy-ish dark red color but I can't.

Lip gloss when I wear it is Lip Smackers or Bonne Bell....something like that.

Yup!

Me too, I love that stuff but I'm pretty sure that everything else they make is complete crap.

As for other brands that I swear by: Origins is by far my favorite for just about everything. Their makeup and skincare are equally amazing, they actually sooth my sensitive skin (unlike most products that I have tried) and their ginger essence is just about the most heavenly thing I have ever smelled, though some of their other products come close.

One day I will find a facial cosmetic that has yellow undertones and not pink, and I shall be a happy, happy pineapple.

Are you by chance a bit on the pale side? Origins has a shade called vanilla cream that is a yellow base, I have a friend who swears by it, I'm not really sure what else they have but you may want to give them a look.

So I looked it up and it seems like a good product. I also looked up Urban Decay (28 bucks per 1.5 oz. bottle, not so much) and Almay.
Anyone ever use Almay's smart shade stuff? Does it really blend in perfect?

I have used it and it did blend well but doesn't really give much coverage, it is more like a tinted moisturizer than foundation.

Its probably a bit contrived but I like some of stargazers make ups, the eye shadows I find good and the nail polish, not the lip sticks tho.

I find for cleansing type stuff simple is good, clinique is better but a lot more pricey.

As long as it's eyeliner and it's thick and dark, I'll wear it. XD

I'm a mac baby. I use mac for my foundation, eyeshadows, eyeliners and mascaras. But I think loreal do lovely products for the lips. For my cleansing and skincare, Clinique all the way. x x

I just bought a hair wax that is AWESOME.
It's by Beyond the Zone, and it's called Stiff Head.
You apply it like you'd apply deodorant, and your hair OBEYS.

I used to be stricly MAC but got tired of spending so much money and often times being disappointed, mostly with their foundation, skincare and nailpolishes.

If you people like MAC eyeshadows you really need to to try NYX. Seriously, same great pigmented shades, and long staying power but only $5 or 7 per eyeshadow!!! You can find them at cherryculture.com or sometimes Ulta stores.

If you like MAC matte lipsticks like Ruby Woo or Russain Red, Revlon came out with a matte line, and I am now obessed with their lipsticks...
Also, they are not as drying as most matte stuff which is a plus!

Normally, I cannot stand Cover Girl products but the TruBlend compact powder in #1 is awesome for making my skin a pale but belivable shade. Though I am on the fair side, I still have a warm complexion and this is the only powder that does not look fake on my skin.

I use full n Soft masacra by Maybelline, I have very senstive eyes and this stuff does not irratate or make my lashes crunchy and stiff. DiorShow masacras are freakin' amazing as well if you feel like spend $25 bucks!

I use Revlon Colorstay foundation with a foundation brush, I think a foundation brush is probably one of the esstiential tools you should have it your makeup kit, once you apply with a foundation brush and see how much better it looks you will never go back to a sponge or using your fingers!

I also want to try the Manic Panic powders (well not the vrigin but the Vampyre's Viel) but the website doesn't really give a good description or picture of the 3 different shades
