Hooray for you! I quite agree.
Sometimes it's nice to be a bit more enigmatic. If I'm feeling a little fragile I go out wearing plain black, and hide behind big sunglasses. It's just easier that way: and of course as someone.to.blame says, black is flattering to many of us.
If I feel demonstrative I wear colours. (Except yellow. I'm olive-skinned and yellow makes me look like a Martian.)

I sometimes like to wear a little bit of red, white, or blue. But normally those colors come on a shirt or pants or a skirt. I also have shirts that turned sorta brown from fading in the wash. I like wearing black, it just suits me. Colors to me are annoying and for some reason I will just never wear colors unless I have to. The only time I really have to is for a soccer game and even then I don't like it. I just like black, it's just a nice color.

Hooray for black. Yeah, we understand how much it "reflects your tortured insides" and all. The cheesy little "I'm so dark" reasons are getting old. This is aimed at no one in particular.
I, on the other hand, wear black because I want to be Jillian. Hahaha.

Other colors are good - I'm wearing pretty much nothing but blue today along with a white tee-shirt - Dickies doesn't make their long-sleeved work shirts in black (only in short-sleeved and I do NOT do short sleeves) darn it, else I'd go buy a bunch, for only twenty bucks, how coud I go wrong?

Further reason to wear black- everything else clashes with me.
I have red hair and green eyes, and pale skin. Pink or red? Not with my hair colour. Yellow or orange? Skin tone, just no. Green? Thank you, I'd rather not be called a leprechaun. Blue or purple? Clashes with the orange-brown of my hair.
Black doesn't clash.

I wear black because it's my favorite color, it matches everything (especially itself), it's a very bold, classy and expressive color, and I'm just more comfortable in it.

Black is classy, matches everything and doesn't stain easily.

I like black clothes... but I also like bold t-shirts. So I might be pure black up to the waist, then be wearing my maroon & bright orange samurai t-shirt.
Dunno why I like black. Guess it's something to do with being easy to pick out an outfit, and a comfortable colour to wear without standing out like a necrotic thumb.
Other girls are like "hmm, I want to wear these khaki three-quarter lengths and this yellow t-shirt... will they go together?" and I'm like "I wonder which pair of these identical black trousers are the cleanest?" XDDD

People look at me strangely when I say the exact same thing...
i.e., "Your shirt is blue-black and your pants are red-black."
Seems you have to either wear a hell of a lot of black or have a good eye for color to see that one.

I wear black because it make my ass look so nice!
I like the way it looks.
I can pair it with pretty much anything.
I have to wear black for part of my job.
You can't see it when the black cat sheds ALL OVER my clothes.
I'm naturally very pale, black just makes me look that much paler.

I choose to wear black because black absorbs light and spiritual energy, it helps me to blend into the shadows of the night and allows for easier darkbending. I don't feel like myself wearing bright colors or pastels or any crap like that, it just isn't who I am or how I would present myself to the world.

Yeah.
Why do I need a reason to wear black?
I mean. It's not that I wear it much but..
Why do you need a reason? It's black. I mean... There's no other way to describe it. It's like.... All.... Blackish. It's not just clothes either. My CD cases are black. My Computer case is black. My speakers are black. My camera is black. The pavement is black. Powerlines are black. Some headphones are black. The sky turns black occasionally (Or so I'm told). I mean... It's black!
Oh.
It's also damn sexy too.

Heh... I forgot to explain WHY I wear black...
...deep down within my goth core, there resides a ninja...
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/8323/pict0063ne6.jpg
:: pondering:: Does that make me a goth ninja...? Hmmm... oh well...
Anyway, this ninja has only come out probably twice to my knowledge(I could have MPD and not know yet...). Once when I sparred with the Predator:
...and once when I was playing Midnight Tag with some friends on a moonless night (for which wearing black is EXTEMELY helpful)...
and Darkbender, you have to instruct me on the art of darkbending... it sounds intriguing...

I wear black because it makes me feel different, and it also makes me feel non-existant just like the color. It is also a beautiful color all by it's self. It also matches every othere color.

I wear black to feel strong, and classy. black is chique, black is clean, black is a powerful colour.. I feel stronger in the sense it helps me feel less self conscience. It is a solemn and sacred colour. It is a comfort zone, somehow...
