I think the ickiest thing I've ever seen was a roadkill squirrel by my bus stop in grade 8 that the city neglected to pick up for whatever reason. It was run over into a pink puddle of goo over the course of 3 weeks, and I got to look at it every morning.

Also, I incurred a deep cut on my arm once, and it didn't bleed much, but I could see little chunks of fat... I covered it with a kleenex pretty quickly. My friend and I trekked down to the hospital and made fun of a horse magazine while I was waiting to get stitches.

Crossing the long bridge coming home from work in Tampa to St. Petersburg Florida one summer night just before 4 AM. Traffic very light this time of day and the bridge dark. As soon as I got over bridge and back on to the causeway laying along the side of highway on the white stripe bordering the shoulder was a naked woman's murdered body in my headlights. There weren't any cars for a couple of minutes I must have just missed her being dumped there, perhaps the car tail lights far in the distance was involved? Was she a hit and run victim or a suicide? Why was she naked (there were no clothes )? What was her story?
It wasn't bloody she was intact but her white pale flesh was all exposed on the road just like a discarded piece of rubbish.
She was a prostitute who had been picked up in Tampa and in the John's car was beat in the head with some form of club then pushed out the passenger side door as the car crossed Tampa Bay .
Quickly it became apparent that she was the victim of a violent death.
Visually it wasn't the grossest thing I've ever seen in my life but mentally it was emotionally scarring as I had never seen, and hope never to see again someone who had been murdered. The violence and senseless nature of the act was terrifying as was the dull morbid expression of the woman's gaze staring out at the southbound interstate and the vast openness of being along the large body of water was extremely humbling. When police and rescue arrived the scene became even more macabre and left me feeling so tiny and scared when the bank of portable flood lights was lifted to illuminate her still uncovered body for all the world to see like a nighttime football game and the traffic lanes the bleachers. As the investigation continued rush hour and dawn approached and finally a blanket was placed over the corpse but the traffic back up was extreme in both directions.

I had been involved in a accident along another bridge crossing Tampa Bay on a winter night along a road called the Gandy in which I witnessed a car hit a construction barrier in the middle of the road and flip on to its roof spinning like a bottle and the passenger came half way out the window. As the car spun the passenger was ground down by the sand paper like friction treatment of the pavement. It happened so fast I didn't see what was happening to the passenger until every thing came to a stop. I didn't go up and look in the car where it rested on its roof on the shoulder in front of me. When the fire Dept arrived a fireman told me to put the cigarette out because of leaking gasoline threat. I threw the butt down and looked to crush it with my foot. There next to my cigarette was a hand laying on the ground at the base of a power light pole. Freaked me out at first and I told the police. In the traffic lanes the fire men were walking down the middle of the 2 lane road with bio-hazard bags and long prongs picking up pieces of meat & bone where the passenger had been grinded down for a very long blood smear leading to the car again it was the illumination of flashing blue & red lights combined with spot and flood lights on the rescue vehicles that gave the scene a dark colorless landscape except for the bright orange biohazard bags and the crimson pieces of flesh and bone being put into these bags.
In the flood lights directed at the car was a gross scene of blood everywhere and a very disturbing half a body wedged into the window with a long spinal column poking out barren of ribs or flesh.
The driver was sitting on the bumper of a rescue squad ranting on about the darn lane changes in the construction zone drunk as a skunk totally unaware that is passenger sitting shot gun was no longer among the living and died in horrible way. Drunk and most likely not believing what had just happened. I heard him asking about his buddy but I didn't over hear what the response was by the rescue or police was.
This accident though graphically vivid in gore and horror was nothing compared to seeing that poor murdered young woman whose life seemed not to matter. I only know how she was murdered because they did catch the man who murdered her a few days later as he was involved in another similar crime in which the victim was spared to tell of her attacker.

The most disgusting thing ive ever seen was when one of twelve puppies i was raising died (suffocated in a dog food can) and we buried the poor little guy in the back yard. Three days later, the eleven other puppies decided they were hungry, dug up the rotting corpse and proceeded to eat it. I walked in on seeing organs all over the place and the dead pup,s tendons being stretched several inches from the body. I was retching and throwing up for half an hour.
