I found a new blog to keep me awake at night:
http://stfuparents.tumblr.com
Not only does it strengthen my resolve not to breed, but I learned more than I want to about how people dispose of placentas. Bury under a tree, okay, fine. Slap it against a canvas and call the blood splatter art, weird and gross but I'm not freaked out about the idea. But eating the placenta? After I saw the placenta sandwich I don't think I can ever eat a sloppy joe ever again.

I've just finished making an RSVP for a friends wedding . I recieved a very posh invite from her parents on heavy duty paper and whatnot, so I decided to make my RSVP using some things I got from work ( the warehouse I work in supplies school craft and educational art packs and display materials, but also card making and beading things ) .
Heavy duty card and envelope, double sided clear craft tape and a LOT of red and white seed beads. Plus a black ribbon and some sealing wax. I have no seal but my pentacle ring is as good as one, and being pagan, represents me nicely ;D
Sadly sticking all those beads one by one to the craft tape with a pair of needlenose tweezers, has given me a horrific headache and eyestrain....I need a lie down now :'(

An aquaintence ended up not having the birthday they planned and I feel torn between asking them out to coffee and happiness. I usually spend my birthday at home feeling sorry for myself, except, on occasions where I totally forgot.

I read this science fiction short story once where the entire universe was charted, faster than light travel existed, and apparently someone managed to quantify admiration and it was used as currency.

Honest to god I only recovered my appetite today, I felt sick to my stomach ever since seeing the placenta sandwich and pretty much subsided on toast and potatoes since.
I plan to go to school for midwifery after I get my degree, I don't know what I'm going to do if someone tells me they plan to eat it. I'm all for choice about these things but I don't think I'd be able to hide my disgust.

I usually hate hanging out in crowded places, but I'm going to make an exception because I have the flu.

I am increasingly finding less and less reason to post here ... and conversely am becoming addicted to twitter. Go figure.
Oh ... read Saya's post. I've heard of that before ... just thought those people are weird.
I would never let that put me off sloppy joes ... yum!
I love leaving a batch of manwhich simmering in the slow cooker and coming home later to the house smelling like that! MMMMmmmmmmmmmm!

Shit.. I meant pale pink roses. Not ones in the shape of piglets, or ones that oink if you touch them, though that would be excellent....

So there's a Facebook group named "MY SISTER SAID IF I GET ONE MILLION FANS SHE WILL NAME HER BABY MEGATRON" and the cause got taken up by bored.com and the guy got over a million fans in 13 days.
He's currently at 1,460,055 fans and I want to encourage you to become a fan if you use Facebook. Because she is due August 9th and we must keep convincing her how important this is!

I have been away for a while because I have been studying for my dissertation. Which is on how greek goths use greek goth forums, and therefore I have been cheating on gnet : )
Since I have a month and a half to go till my deadline, I guess I won't have much time to come here often.
Just in case someone wondered.

Aw, my dog has developed a heamatoma just under her left eye. We thought it was an abcess in one of her upper teeth at first because it's on her cheekbone. But the vet has said it's a heamatoma. She has to have an anti inflammatory and painkiller in her food for now.
It started off round, looking like someone had pushed a grape under her skin. But by this morning it has spread into a wider area, and her eye was starting to swell shut slightly. I got home from work and it's even worse! Her eye is half shut!
She doesn't seem bothered at all by it apart from the mega squint. I couldn't help but laugh because it looks exactly like someone's punched her in the face! She just barks at me and looks indignant about it.

If the mother ate the sandwich would it be auto-cannibalism?
If a nursing mother drank her own breast milk would it be auto-cannibalism?
If one bites their nails is that...

Nursing isn't considered cannibalism, so isn't it more auto-nursing? Besides, breast milk is meant to be consumed, thats not quite the function of the placenta.

Does not make an appetizing sandwich, to me:
