from dirty old France, vx !
Hi there everyone, so here's my own little introduction...
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
basically, I'm a musician. That's my hobby, and that's my job.
2. Where are you from?
Toulouse, France. Yes baby, I'm born to lose.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Michael Moorcock, followed by William S. Burroughs and Dorota Marlowka
4. What are your favorite films?
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Night Of The Hunter
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I wanted U2's "Gloria", because the chorus is in latin, I thought it was cool to use in a church. But for my daughter's baptism, we entered the church on Cure's Plainsong.
6. At your funeral?
Diamanda Galas
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
On stage.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
black t-shirt, black jeans, military shoes. I'm not of the blazingly-goth kind.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Nothing, fuck childhood.
11. What's your favorite band?
Ok, my reply won't be too gothically correct... If I have to chose ONE band, it would be Hawkwind. I don't care what you think about this.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
litterary studies, history
13. Why did you join?
because I'm a message-boards-fiend. And, let's be honest : to "promote" my musical projects (Punish Yourself, 1969 Was Fine, Cheerleader 69)
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
I'm a man, or so they say...
As a bonus, some pictures :
me as Punish Yourself singer :
me as Cheerleader 69 :
I also have pictures of me as a cow-boy, but I keep these for the cows.

Oh, by the way, to make some of you cry :
- back in 1994, Rozz Williams & Gitane Demone both came to my apartment with their musicians. OK, not because they were thinking I was famous but just because that was the place where they were to eat before a gig.
- back in 2k8, Peter Murphy offered me some champagne, introduced me to his daughter, then we had some talk. A real gentleman.
I FUCKING LOVE NAME-DROPPING HA HA HA ! Ok, that was shamefully, pitifully, desperately pointless. But still, I like that.

Yeah, Amebix has been a favorite of mine for a long time. See, I'm not all too much into goth, really into crust, anarcho punk, old black metal, and industrial metal mostly, nobody has seemed to mind though, so I just keep posting.

Well actually, I'm a lot into industrial metal too, my main band is generally labelled as industrial metal (even if I don't really think it's "metal" anyway - but I'm the kind of guy who thinks Motorhead is NOT metal ha ha).

I'm not gothy at all, but I'll say hi and give you props for mentioning Hawkwind. Fine choice.
Welcome to this place. I look forward to your contributions.

read post dates ? uuuuuuur what's the trouble ?
concerning Rozz & Gitane, well, when you are part of the guys organizing a gig (that was Rozz Williams band + Gitane Demone + Corpus Delicti @ The Bikini, Toulouse, France), it's quite normal you meet the artists. The funniest part of the story is that Rozz was quite fascinated by the cat we had with my girlfriend, who was named Eldritch (the cat, not the girlfriend). When he asked "what's his name ?" and I answered, he couldn't help laughing. I have some pictures of that evening somewhere, if my girlfriend didn't take them all when we broke up.

Actually I still can't believe I did. It was at a festival in Belgium, Riffs'n'Bips festival in Mons, I was playing there with my band ; Peter Murphy was vocal guest on some tracks by a belgian techno artist whose name I can't remember. The promoter of the festival, knowing we (Punish Yourself's guitarist Sandrine and I) are huge Bauhaus fans, introduced us to him. In fact, he almost had to push me, I didn't want to go...

Anyway, I'm not here to talk about the few famous people I met, I just thought it was funny to mention these two here. When you have been a touring artist for 15 years, you get to meet people, that's all ! ))))
