I use nothing, except if I have a little blemish, then I use concealer. On special occasions I might wear eyeshadow.

Same. I often get asked (with genuine concern ) if I am ill. My eyes are tiny and I have acne >.<

Yeah, I probably should. It's such a pain in the arse. In the summer, I wear a little less during the day. But I work for a band in addition to my own music projects, and have several shows a week. It's hard not to wear so much and still get the look I want.

Also, does it count if one wears a shit ton of makeup but it doesn't LOOK like one wears a shit ton of makeup?
I like to think not. But who the hell am I to judge.

I don't like the way that I look without any make-up on, either.

I think I might as well mention that when I'm running late and have to apply makeup on the bus I tend not to do the whole winged eyeliner routine and just use black eyeliner in my waterline, black mascara, concealer and plum colored lipstick.

On any typical day, I usually put on some moisturiser, a coat of mascara and a teeny bit of foundation, and that's it.

If I'm going out anywhere special, I'll wear several coats of mascara, eyeliner (sometimes liquid) and a little more foundation.

I don't tend to wear a lot of makeup, despite my lack in self-confidence haha.

Typical day, I wear a line of black eyeliner under both my eyes.
perhaps a bit of silver eyeshadow. Works for me.

woman who wear too much make up just want to hide for several reasons:
1 being ugly
2 lack of confidence
3456..... the list is too long for i to waste my time to write each one down.
those two are the main one.

Grey eyeshadow.
Black eyeliner, top lid and of lower.
Mascara.
Concealer maybe.

And if I'm not healing any piercings or misshapen in the face department for any reason, foundation and powder.

-wash, rinse, moisturize
-foundation/powder
-smokey blue/gray/black eyeshadow
-eyeliner or mascara if I want to really look good, somtimes blush
-chapstick/lipmoisturizer (again I save actual lip color for special occasions)

how much is too much fucking makeup? If I want to look glam, I'm going to look glam. The day after coming down off of uppers, and I feel like shit, I'll go out for coffee looking like shit and that doesn't bother me, either.

Ugliness in my case.

Mine goes as follows:

Concealer

Powder

Eyeshadow - Whatever colour I happen to be in the mood for. Plum is a current favourite for me at the moment.

Eyeliner - sometimes top and bottom, often top only during the week when I am at work, depends on how awake I feel as I do this routine at 5:50 AM five days a week.

Mascara

After that it's just hair and getting dressed ect ect.

why wasting so much time on doing your make up.
in most cases when you apply a little bit of make up does make you look better than if you put the all facial paint.
it's important for your skin to breathe.
i wear make up very rarely ,mostly when i feel like it.
even tough when i do wear some i just put some mascara ,black pencil and black eye shadow but that's where it's stop.
i like the natural look so much more .

My point is that you don't have to be ugly or suffer from lack of self confidence to wear makeup. Some people just likes to paint their faces. Most days I wander around with a naked face, but it's fun to play around with makeup.

Back on track. My usual routine is as follows;

Foundation,
eyeliner,
eyeshadow,
mascara,
lipstick. Done.

well that's what i think .
it's my opinion.
i truly believe that for some woman wearing a face paint give them a boost of confidence ,without it they don't seem as confident.
As for ugly people ,they choose to put the lot to disguise their ugliness and hide behind a mask ,a prettier one.

too much is not the best option.

I agree with you regarding this. I was just saying that it doesn't always apply to everyone who wears a thick layer of makeup.

I can see where this beleif stems from... I knew a girl in highschool who did her make-up in the dark because her mother was so constantly overbearing and critical that she couldn't stand to see her own face.

But that's not the case for everyone.

well it does not change my opinion on the subject.
woman who wear too much make up are making themselves look less appealing compare to those who wear a little or go for the natural look.
if some choose to look like clowns that's fine by me but then again it certainly laughable .

'the natural look' is great for younger girls. fresh faced is far more attractive, when it works for you.

home/homework/library
clean face, maybe mousturizer, maybe gloss

school/work/coffee/sushi
mineral powder foundation, mascara, eyebrow powder, lipliner

out/sex/party/show/wedding/funeral/sushi
mineral powder foundation, much mascara, false eyelash on corners, eyebrow powder, black liquid liner in a demure, non-winged fashion, black eyeshadow over liquid to smudge, pink/taupe/red shadow in crease or duct, gloss/lipliner/staedtler permanent marker in crimson or brown

Creature, you're funny. Why would you want to go criticising people's cosmetic choices? I think, perhaps, you are the one with the self-esteem issue. I like your biting wit, but you spend an awful lot of time tearing people down.

Right - make-up. God, I love it. There is not enough beauty in the world, and if you don't always have time to go seek it, you always have time to glance into reflective surfaces.

Less appealing to you, maybe. Perhaps not everyone is thinking about appealing to you when they get ready in the morning? That's okay. You get to wear what you want to wear, and so do the rest of us.

Hear, hear! Creature already has a face - why should he have mine or yours as well? Although a faceless look would be wonderfully creepy, it would also be highly inconvenient.

i didn't know you had to wear make up according to where you go.
i think it's pathetic.
A different look for each place you go more or less, that's just ridiculous.
