Who else is getting tired of this?
You know, i'm really sick and tired of shit getting deleted around here without any notice or reason. I don't care who is doing. It's a fucked up thing to do.
If it's the Admins, what the fuck? WHY? i mean, are you TRYING to drive people away by deleting shit at random?
If it's the Mods, which i don't think it is, cause i'm sure they would say it with pride, then fucking do something about it.
You've already lost one person to deleting shit, and crap load of other are getting pissy about it.
If you're going to do it, At least let us fucking know.

I dunno about deletions. I know that there's a software censoring specific words to prevent racists, bigots and paedophiles from looking us up in search engines.
I'm not sure if the program subsequently deletes posts.
I know I do, but the irrelevancy of the posts is usually enough reason for the poster to know why s/he was deleted.
And just who left?
I can think of no one who has left on account of deleted posts.
No one I'll miss, I'm sure.

Didn't Peter say he was leaving cause of this. I mean, he created a whole thread about it.
And peoples shit has been dissapearing. I mean, not just random posts, but WHOLE threads. Like my "What happened?" thread. Where did it go? And that one guy had TWO threads of his deleted. Can't remember his name. Dammit. He made threads about them dissapearing.
Anyhow, that's fine if we have the censors like that. I guess that makes sense in a scared of teh intranet way.
BUt seriously. It's just fucking RUDE to delete shit at random without a reason. There is no reason those threads that were deleted should have been. I don't think ANYTHING should be deleted. LOCk it if you must, but at least that way we can view your reasonings.
How would you feel if you came around and a thread that you had started just up and dissapeared without a trace and no one knows what happened?
Yeah, shitty.
Mark my words man, you're not going to be attracting a lot of people with shit like that. And sooner or later the regualrs are going to get tired of seeing their thoughts dissapear.
Someone needs to fucking OWN up.

Faustus threads were dribble and were deleted.
Peter stayed (me thinks) when the censoring software was explained.
Nothing is deleted randomly.
And your "What happened" thread is exactly where you left it, as far as I know.

Actually I believe the Admins or one of them moved it to Whining.
Cause that's where they want it to be, since it appears to be just that, I assume.

Yes, we know the drill well..
We're like a semi-professional, slightly unbalanced 'Clean-Up Crew'..

Couple of minor peeves related to the topic here...
Can't say I've noticed any blatant cases of deletion around here, but I am quite sure I had at least a hundred more posts at the time when the site went offline. Don't know which ones went missing, but I'm not crying over spilt milk. Honestly it's not such a big deal, just kinda weird.
But I've been wondering - who exactly is this moderator Dirtnap? Before, you could at least count on WeaselBoy dropping in once in a while, giving a snappy comment on some topic or maybe even creating a new thread. Now, it just feels like we're governed by some distant, faceless administration whose only hands-on contribution to the site is done by way of code and censoring filters. No scrolling "recent posts" window, no private messages, no "who's online"... All the nifty little features are gone. Now, this may be only a temporary thing - I seem to recall reading in the introductory announcement that more features will be implemented later - but a little more information would be nice.
I'm not complaining though, I'm sure the people who run the site are busy enough with this and other things as well. It's just that it would be nice to know whose playground we're on.

Not to try and speak for them or anything..
But I do know that they had to throw GNet back up on their own, with little or no warning..
It is a work in progress, and many of the features that are not working yet, will be soon.
The Admins also run several other sites, with as much traffic, if not more than Gnet.
I know that they welcome suggestions, and are trying very hard to aclimate themselves to us, and all of our quirks..
They are working to get the bugs worked out, and get the site ' tweak free ' as soon as they can..
We just need to be patient, and I know that the few remaining issues will be worked out pretty soon.
I'm just glad they put Gnet back up period, because they did not have to do so. The site isn't really much of a money maker, but they knew and understood that it was a Special and Twisted place for us, and therefore needed to be here..
They have alot of really good ideas that they want to implement, it's just going to take time.
Just remember, they know as little about us, as we know about them..
And feel free to email them if you have any questions or concerns.
Or me or Mael..
I know things are a bit different, but at least we still have a way to hang out, and share ideas..
Things will smooth out ok guys?
Promise...

So first you were gloating that the admins were regulating the mods, and now you are bitching about the very people who went against the wishes of everyone to let you back in? You think it's socially acceptable to bitch about how things are run?
Huh.

Of course it was your post I was agreeing with.
As a matter of fact, if you click on your USER CONTROL PANEL, you'll notice I gave you a reputation point for that post alone.
Later dude, and take it slow, both with the girl and with the car (so they'll both last longer)
